hey i recently recieved my btl 15" and installed it in the box that i designed and built its a 4.4 cube slot port box tuned to 34hz and i have it on my 1500.1bd running about 1600 watts rms and i took a few videos earlier and when i was done i noticed that the cone was really hot on it....not so hot you couldnt keep your finger on it but it was pretty damn hot.....why is this i was planning on getting another 1500.1bd and strapping them......is the one 1500.1bd enough for it i thought these things were built for power

Sounds like you might be clipping the amp...easiest way to check that is to find someone with an oscilloscope and look at what the waveform is doing.

Back the input gain on the amp down a bit.

Means that the amp is not happy with the preout voltage it's getting :)

When you overdrive an amp, nice clean sine waves start to look like this:

Much more power is being dumped into your speaker than you may think in a condition like this.

The purpose of a gain knob is to match the amp's input stage to the voltage coming out of the head unit, so you can turn the volume up on the head unit without having the amp start to clip.
