LOL... Try teh same.Well there is one difference, and the Fi parts were supposed to have better leads.

June 5, 200718 yr I don't know if you had a badly clipped signal. But neither do you, unless you've put a 'scope on the amp's output. Obviously something put a lot of current into that driver, and it's likely to happen again...

June 5, 200718 yr Author Well I scope it when I have the time, but as far as I could tell it wasn't clipping since I set the gains with a DMM. Surprisingly the crossfire survived and I thought thats what went at first
June 5, 200718 yr A DMM won't tell you what the shape of the waveform is - and it won't show you how much current is actually going into those leads. All you're getting is a voltage reading that may hide a more serious problem.
