A while back I posted a topic about one of my subs having a softer suspension than the other and I knew this would happen because one was bought like several weeks before the other but figured eventually they both should level out to have the same stiffness of suspension but that isn't the case. After doing some testing last night a couple of buddies of mines who happens to be a serious competitors bought it to my attention and said it may cause somethings such as cancellation or something then again it may be nothing but you never know. Again I have bought this up to FI and said it would be fine and eventually level out but I am worried that one of the subs may have a better suspension than the other and wonder if this may be a possibility?

Too worried about nothing?

Pretty much. Is there a difference? No doubt. Is it audible? Extremely unlikely. Will it cause damage? Virtually impossible.

Another way to think of this: if you have two speakers in a ported enclosure, the one closer to the port moves less (servo effect). Naturally, the one moving less will have a less exercised suspension. Does it matter? Nope...

Cool thanks for the help just wanted to make sure because both subs are in sepearte chambers so I knew this was going to happen when I first bought them but just figured that eventually the suspension on the more newer sub would eventually soften up to be as soft as the older one. I just was concerned because it isn't like when you press them in you can barely tell its the exact opposite you can tell that one has a stiffer suspension and almost feels as if it may have more spiders than the other.

feels as if it may have more spiders than the other.

hmm I remember scott posting something about a spider for the SSD when he released the BP option...

I think it was something along the lines of a new spider pack but i am not sure if that new spider was used when you get the bp option or if they are just using new spiders in general... ?
