Posted June 12, 200718 yr is there any relation?ie. would two subs showing an impedance of 4 ohms have a better chance at SQ than two subs showing 1 ohm
June 12, 200718 yr Theoretically, it changes the damping factor of the system - which is the ratio of the amp's output impedance to the impedance of the load. Most push/pull solid state amps have such low output impedances that lowering the load impedance doesn't do a whole lot to change DF.The short answer? Don't worry about it.

Don't worry about it.it sounds like you're saying it is possible but it depends on the ampwhich might suck for me cause i was thinking about getting the Hifonics BXi1606D and running it at 1 ohm
June 12, 200718 yr Damping Factor is a stupid spec anyways...The driver design is what determines its cone control.
