Try adjusting your internet security settings. I had to switch to FireFox recently as well.

Awesome vids as usual Meade! ;)

I can't access it either, I know I've been there before on this computer, but not any more, and I think I've tried everything.

That sucks. I wish I knew more you could try. :(

Good luck though.

try this (i am a CCNA network certified)

go to start > Run

type in

cmd

a command prompt should pop-up

at the prompt type (or copy and paste)

ipconfig /flushdns

it should say successfuly flushed dns cache

try go to steves site

http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com

even if you tried it earlier try it again....

if that fails

look in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

look for a file called hosts

open it with notepad

Below the line that says

"127.0.0.1 localhost"

copy and paste the following:

69.56.168.34 stevemeadedesigns.com

Save and close...

let me know

I just tried your suggestions and I still cannot pull up the site. That is the only site that I have ever not been able to go to. This is a first for me.

It has to be on the server end...

Theplanet does occasionally block IP's (usually those that time out or cause non-malicious DoS )

They will usually block a range of ip's and you may have fallen within the range...

is your IP dynamaic or static ?

If it is static you can change your MAC address shut your pc and modem (and router if you have one) to get a new mac address and a new IP....

What happens is if an ip is blocked they may drop the packet on the routers end very rare they will use the routers unless it was a really bad DDoS.....

If not whoever manages stevemeades server needs to look in their firewall or iptables to see if anything is in there that shouldn't be.... sometime the firewall will automatically add an Ip into the iptable if the firewall feels something may look like an attempt to tie up the server... but only the root/admin of his server can check that...

Wish i could help more but i don't have access to theplanet routers or stevemeades server...

The only thing i can advise is you change your mac address and get a new IP assigned to you...

thanks for the help :D I dont think my server is gonna "look into their firewall" any time soon. No offense, i love you all, but its not my problem :D My site works fine i can log in from ANYWHERE or almost any device including my PSP, Palm Pilot or even my cell phone. If i can do all that then its not on my end.

good luck to ya though!!

all my vids are on youtube as well ;)

sorry for the troubles!

steve
