Wanted to get some opinions out there.. Which would you guys go with, 2 12w6v2's sealed or 1 12 Magnum ported? Either application would be powered by a Sundown 1500d. Looking for SQ and have decent output.

SI is out of 12s until the next production run, so the JLs will be your only bet unless you find a used Mag which are hard to find.

Okay.. let's say there isn't a technicality of one driver being out of production....

I went from a pair of JL 12W6v1s sealed to a single Mag 12 ported. the Mag is as loud as the old W6s. I'm not sure if it can take a pair of V2s though, so I think I'll go with the JLs (but I've never heard the v2s. For you info)

Well, the only experience I have with them is the 13W6v2s in my buddy's car, and that was geared more towards SPL than SQ.

I do love my Mag more than anything I've ever owned, including the 13W7.

Between the two choices you listed, I'd have to say the W6v2's.

I've heard both, while neither sub does really anything wrong, I'm just a fan of sealed in a situation like this.

I personally love the MAG.

while i too, love the mag. teh w6v2 are jl's best sub. and a pair of them sealed will offer great sq and output off that sundown. nothing against the mag, it'll hold it's own one on one against jsut about any sub. but a pair fo the w6s, even sealed, i think is a bit much for even a mag.

now, if you went a pair vs a pair sealed, like ///M5 mentioned, well, i dunno what i'd pick.

probably the mags.

I have one 10" JL W6v2 in my 350z in a 1.5 cu. ft. ported box and it sounds great to me. I'm running a Zapco DC500.1 for power along with a Kinetik HC1400 under the hood. Two 12"s should blow your ears off. I'm rather glad I didn't go with two 10"s as I'd probably be deaf now.

MAN I had these babies.....they rocked......i really like the mag too.....my roomate has one....but the JL's in my opinion.....take it....or not....seems to play a deeper bass note
