Does anyone have plans for a ported box for a Fi 15" Q? It will be in the back of my 06 impala. I can post the dimensions of my trunk later, but any help would be awesome. I was looking for something tuned around 30-35 hz. Basically, I want something thats gonna really make my Q slam because all I really listen to is rap. Thanks.

im wondering the same thing

i will be ordering a 15" Q

and was hoping to get some help on an enclosure

the box will be 4 cubic feet

im not sure what to tune port to..

any suggestions?

i just want it to sound best for the music i listen to..

i mostly listen to rap and R&B

i was suggested to tune to 30hz but is that too low?

should i go higher?

i was thinking maybe 32-33hz..

i know nothing about port tuning and just wanted some help

say i went with 33 hz what are the port dimesions that im looking at?

thanks in advance

  • 1 year later...

old post im bringin back becuz i have a similar question incase i end up going ported at the last minute...

would 3.6 cu ft. @ 31hz be good? Also a 15" Q and im limited on space.

If you want your Q to really slam i suggest a 4.0cf3 enclosure tuned to 30 or 31 .I had mine in several boxes ranging in size from 3.5 to 4.3cf3. 4.0cf3 at 30hz slams the best so far... this is all in a Colorado ext cab, port to the drivers side with sub firing forward....
