Posted July 7, 200718 yr Ok right now I have a 12" Rl-P in a ported box (1.5ft^3 33Hz) runnin at approx. 700wRMS. Since I'm a little strapped for box size here, I'm thinkin about getting 2 12" subs and putting them in a sealed box. Now, what I wanna know is what sort of gains would I achieve from getting SSD's and put them in about 1.3ft^3 chamber for each sub?
July 7, 200718 yr Theoretically you'd get a less-peaky response out of the sealed woofers, though your current setup probably isn't very peaky to begin with.SPL-wise, that's impossible to say. Anything beyond saying it'll be somewhere in the audible range is just conjecture and guesses until you get some meter time Welcome to SSA, btw!

Thanks, I'm really likin this forum setup.
