Posted July 7, 200718 yr Hello all I`ve been busy today Managed to get some time to do some work on the car Here is the wall so far...For those of you who do not know the SPEC:26.5 Cu.Ft. Wall197 Sq In of port area. Tuned to 27Hz & can be tuned lower too. (Adjustable port blockers)4x Stereo Integrity MAG 15" Subwoofers1x Adassa Audio BARBARIAN amplifierLooks as though everything is going to fit nicely.Check out the Spkr cable to the Right hand side of the Plywood Amp L.O.LIt`s 4awg - just because it was a nice shade of purple. (I have a thing for PURPLE)All the Spkr cables in the box are 8awg & are connected to the 4awg.I struggled today - trying to get the subs in without damaging them - very awkward and they are quite heavy. I nearly pierced the foam surround of one of the subs.I feel sorry for those people who have really heavy subs. My back aches now & my subs only weigh in @ around 13kgOh and you can just about make out the TV when the boots shut. The TV will actually lift up to a more better viewing angle when the boot is opened Anyway should be able to do a bit more tomorrow ;D.... July 7, 200718 yr Author Thanks guys I prefer my system to drop low - play as flat as possible & be very loud with it.I`m aiming for 150dB+ @ 20Hz I`ll be the 1st person in the U.K. to officially hit that dB score @ that low frequency if I can do it in dB drag competition.I got very close with my last system 148.2dB@ 20Hz in the dB drag Position - which wasn`t a wall.If it doesn`t hit the 150dB @ 20Hz then I`ll get another 4x Magnums & run them ISO - Clamshell. July 7, 200718 yr Author Yes. We Brits are a bit crazy. L.O.L. There seems to be a split in the SPL now as lots of people are now building systems that can drop bass to silly low frequencies rather than going for high peaking SPL only vehicles.dB drags BASSRACE has become very popular - which is good....And I have started the ((((Propper Droppers)))) SPL Testing format (It`s not a competiton) which caters for the low hitters.Hey!Maybe someone could start a USA ((((Propper Droppers)))) SPL Testing League? .... If you want some info - check this link.http://streetbassers.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=24.0Note things are being updated so some of the Leagues are being changed slightly. July 7, 200718 yr I love seeing your work. Not only is it functional, it is very aesthetically appealing! Great work again!!
July 9, 200718 yr Great job!! I love seeing your progress on all of your builds. Like Ryan said, all of your builds are insanely big, nasty, and also visually appealing (which doesn't happen over here in the states that often - usually when builds are big, they're ugly). Please keep us posted on your progress.
July 9, 200718 yr I must say , when I first read the thread title Magnum Wall nearly completed , My first walled system - Update I almost chit myself thinking deer god please tell me he didn't put a wall in a magnum . Looking good as always man
July 9, 200718 yr That's what I was thinking as well My next thought was...going to send Dave a link...
July 11, 200718 yr Truthfully, if I were to compete in SPL, that is exactly the type of thing I would want to do. I love it and congratulate you on some very fine work.
July 12, 200718 yr I prefer my system to drop low - play as flat as possible & be very loud with it.I`m aiming for 150dB+ @ 20Hz I got very close with my last system 148.2dB@ 20Hz in the dB drag Position - which wasn`t a wall. This is the direction SPL should of headed towards in the begining.Low frequency pressure is way more impressive.
August 27, 200718 yr Good job, Marcos Keep in mind that when my new car comes in, those handly little boax and wall making skills of yours will be utilised to the max
