Hi, I'm getting a Mach5 MAW15(for now), and was wondering which amp you would buy, based on price/quality? I don't want to go more than $400.

Precision Power PC2150RB(used, but almost new) = $260

Zapco REF500.1(new) = $380

US Amps Merlin MD22(new) = $180

US Amps Xterminator XT800.2(new) = $125

Any other recommendations are appreciated :) .

Thanks for the input.

BTW, sorry if you ask a question right away and I don't respond. I'm going to bed right now(stupid graveyards).

Personally I like Zapco's. My dealer got me a DC500.1 for less than $400 brand new. I love the way you can configure just about anything through a laptop.

I like the Zapco also, but it is more expensive.

To me it would depend on your front stage. I'd much rather have a Zapco on the front stage and something cheaper on the sub than the other way around.

Thanks to your post in another thread I went with a Zapco DC360.4 powering a set of Zapco SQ components running full active that sounds fantastic. I'm sure if I sat in my car with a laptop for a few hours I could get it sounding even better.
