well.. got the sub and put it in................... turned the gain up some................. well most the way up..........................then my boy and i turned a cd on.............. and........................ how the hell did you ever build such a .......... GREAT SUB.. that is the best sounding sub i have ever heard... every note is so clear yet pounds so hard... my boy could not belive it .... it was worth every penny i paid then some... and that is even with my not so great amp... next will be a nice amp.. and i will be buying it from you guys..... thanks for everything !!!!!!!!! my boy want's2 12"s now.. he has 2 rockford P3's .. they get loud.... but they just sound like nothing but BRUMMMMMMMMMMMMM BRUMMMMMMMMMM.... not music.... the Xcon's are just unreal how well the sound.. yet pound so hard...... oh you can get out side my 2006 fx4 supercrew... and watch the door skins flex in and out..... one happy customer... well more then happy

it is in there so tight it will not move at all... the legs that the seat folds down on go on the side towards the driver side... and behind it... then the door pushes it aginst it and locks it over.. then the power seats is powered back..... you can grab the box and it will not budge any direction.... that box is only tempory... i plain on some bucket seats... then building like a consule box with a kerfed port .. should all look really good when i am done.. my winter project.... i am think of buildind a box for my kid to practice on with a kerfed port and see how it turns out.... mite start this weekend... i kind of enjoy learning new stuff.. and i have a table saw and all the tools needed ...

well my sub is out for delivery.... i have my box built... so i am sitting here thinking if there is anything i need so when i get off work i can mount it in the box and go hook it up...... then i started to think... i know how to wire it to a 1 ohm load.... but.. with my alpine type R it had jumper cables to go from one voice coil to the other... then just one speaker wire to the amp... so i only ran one wire out of the box just thinking that is how my Xcon would be... so.... i gues what i am wondering is this how you wire the Xcon ? or do you run speaker wires from each voice coil to the amp ? i guess i could wait and find out... but i would like to have it all set up so i don't have to be needing something when i get home and ready to get it going... thanks agin

Well she knows what a Xcon is now ! I had her in there yesterday and asked if she wanted to here it ? she says ya go ahead... i start turning it up and she starts to pluge her ears.... then she starts smileing and yells TURN IT DOWN... so i turn it down and she she says you are going to make me cum ! my whole seat is vibrateing ..... maybe she likes it now ,,, LOL

i am going to buy a new monitor pretty soon.. i want one that swivels so you can turn it towards you..... i think the one i have now is a 15 inch... i put it in a couple years ago... it has a good picture on it tho..

i have a Hifonics Brutus BXi1208D... it says 1200 X 1 at 1 ohm,,,,,, and i have a cadance TXA 3004 running infinitys kapas in all 4 doors... and a jvc dvd head unit that puts out 5 volt pre outs.... here is a couple more pics of the rest of my truck.... movies Rock in it

i didn't have much time last night and it was dark... i will reset it all today,, i don't want to hurt my new baby...i can't hardley imagine it getting any better then it is.. i need to find a download for a test tone, then i can adjust it with my volt meter... i'm off to find test tones.....

thanks... i under stand that part.... i guess what i mean is... does the sub come with a jumper wire that plugs in to the voice coil to jump one voice coil to thee other or do you make your own with speaker wire.... here is a pcture of how my old sub works to go from one voice coil to the other.... ..

about a month ago my boy was going to lunch from school.. he was at a stop light.. and then a guy in a surburen runs in to the back of him.. then he does it agin, then while the kid is getting out he does it agin... the kid says what are you doing ? the old guys says ! i don't want to hear your F...king music.... light turns green and the old man takes off... the kid followed him and got his plate number and called the cops... the cops acted like it was a waste of there time ( my kid called me and i showed up right after the cop did... anyway the old guy told the cop he dropped his cell phone.... his insurenace payed to fix the kids bumper.. 2007 saturn auroa... never did say anything about his music...

i would take a volt meter ... start your car and see if your alternator is still chargeing.. alot of times when you get a short like that it won't charge any more.... kind of like when you jump someone with your car and they put the cables on the wrong sides.... that was a dead short.. i would guess a cell in the battery shorted across... i have seen it do it on 4-wheeler batterys before.. if it was just a loose cable once it arched it would of made contact and quiet getting hot

ok it is time to start on my box for the new sub i ordered.... now bear with me i am not great at figureing all the math out.... so anyway ... i went and took some measuremeants..... i am looking like i can fit 20x 20 then the hight i was trying to stay about 23.... so that gives me about 4.25832.... now here comes the part harder for me.... if i go say 18.5 x 3 for the port at 32 herts.. which then says 30.366887 long.... how much cubic ft. would the box have now ? with the port and sub displacemeant... i think i read the sub would be like .2 .. now i can make the box taller.. but the 20x20 well need to stay the same if i use the room i was plaining on... any help would be great.....

well i could really use some help with my box design.. i ordered a 15 Xcon on monday and i want to start on the box for it.. i have a table saw and router and have built a couple boxes before.. but i am kind of new to this and want this box to sound good,, it will be going in the back of my 06 ford-f-150 fx4 supercrew.. i plain on putting it were my small side rear seat folds... i would like it to be 21x21 then 27-26 tall. ( sub on top ).. i would like it to come out to the 4 cu.ft ported.... they say 26-33 hz..... i listen to mostley rock...hard rock... but i like most music that sounds good.... i love good bass... i am not very good at figureing out all the math... it looks like to me a box 21x21 and 27 tall would be like 5.6 cu.ft... then with the port and sub... heck i am guessing like 4.2 .. anyway, if anyone can help that would be great... i had a alpine 15 type r but the box was to small.. sounded ok but i am sure it would have been better with a good box design.. thanks for any help

i went and played with it.... but that will not work for what i am wanting... that is for a L shape port..... i want the sub on top of the box... which is 27 tall... the port ( vent port ) will not make it to the bottom, so it will not let me figure it right so the port and sub are on the top... i guess i could be doing it wrong to

thanks....... i went and mesured some more.. so i think i can do 21x21x 27...... so that will give me 5.61 cu.ft.... then after the port and sub.. and the port walls i should be pretty close to 4 cu ft .... i think... will that work good ? oh ya it says 26-33 hz .... what should i really be shooting for ? closer to 33 or 26 ?? i found this other calculator and it ask some qustions about numbers from the sub spec's and it said it should be 28.1 hertz... but i have no idea if it is right or not... do you know what the xcon 15 likes ?

no not yet.. i kind of have a few ideas.. but i haven't went out and got any messurmeants yet to see how many cubic ft it will be..this weekend i will start on it
