    Welcome to the IHoP

Assuming the volume and temp stay constant then the pressure stays the same, if the sphere compresses then the pressure would go up.

    Problem with front speakers

Check to see that the speakers are in phase and id cut a bracket to seal up the doors for the speakers... having the open space around the speaker leaking air is not hlping you

    Solve this math problem

Not according to the guy with a doctorate from MIT in theoretical math and another from GT in Electrical Engineering.... but ok

    Solve this math problem

Correct, so you would add the 9+3 first, but the 2 isn't in the parenthesis, so then it reads 48/2*12=288

    Solve this math problem

I'm Thinking 288, Eggyhustle and Frostedflakejake are right that Multiplication/division are interchangeable, so then priority goes left to right. 48/2*12=288.

Lithium, I understand when people aren't a big fan of capitalism, but what other option do you prefer??? And it would be easy for us to keep jobs in the states if we would simply start tariffs on imported goods just like every other nation and quit giving the corporations moving jobs overseas big tax breaks.

Where to put subs? What would u do?

If you are dead set on multiple 8" drivers or multiple drivers in general you are going to have to modify the truck in some way. So your really only limited by your fab skills, imagination, and how big your sack is.... Some ideas for you are cutting up the rear seat for a custom center console, doing custom boxes in the doors, moving the rear seats forward to give you some more space for a box behind the rear seats, my favorite would be a blow-through... but no matter what you choose, Godsmack is right SQ and Output is going to have more to do with your install then whatever driver you choose but good luck with your build this should be interesting.

Blow-through or a custom center console are about your only options as far as I can see

    lookin for some literature

Ive been lurking around audio forums for awhile now trying to pick up as much technical info as I can to better understand the actual physics behind the audio design concepts. I understand the basic electrical principles and have a very limited knowledge on the physics behind acoustics from lurking here and my physics classes, but besides changing my major to acoustical engineering, i dnt think im going to be able to pick up the level of technical know-how that im looking for without some good reference literature. I was just wondering if some of the members here could throw out some titles that I could study to really start getting some in-depth knowledge of different designs and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

subwoofer suggestion's for reg cab colorado

This is my first attempt with a 3 channel amp before, all of my other systems have consisted of multiple amps for subs and speakers. I found the Kicker for a really good deal and have had good luck with Kicker before so I gave it a shot. Its actually working out really well so far, though Im afraid its gonna kill my battery in a little bit but Ive been wanting to upgrade to a deep cycle anyway so...
  14. I just really got the doors sealed up and deadened, never tried using baffles truthfully as everything ive ever heard about them was negative and I haven't had an issue with any water in the doors

subwoofer suggestion's for reg cab colorado

I love my new CS60K's. They sound alot cleaner then my old Kicker SS but not sure how much of that was due to getting the doors sealed up and deadened better for this install.... I went with the CS60Ks a 10" Dcon and a 3-channel Kicker amp and I like it. It sounds pretty balanced too actually, def not to much bass. I didnt play around to much with the tweets locations, but I ended up going with the stock locations in the doors as thats where I felt I had the best imaging.

subwoofer suggestion's for reg cab colorado

Just FYI the Colorados doors are a pain to try to pull new speaker wire though. The little bracket is impossible to get too without taking the door off and then you have to drill a hole out to run the new speaker wire through... its an all around pita. I just finished installing a set of Bravox Comps in my CC Colorado

Be careful with the dcons mounting depth, its been awhile since ive been inside a single cab colorado but from wht i remember you didnt have a whole lot of room back their with the seats pushed back

    JL tw5 13.5 or SA8

Not sure what your willing to do but if your really interested in getting some decent bass then a fairly simple mod that worked really well was cutting and re-welding the rear seat bracket so that the rear seat sat forward a couple inches. We did it to my buddies 350 and managed to fit 4 audiopipe tens in the back in a ported enclosure that got pretty loud. You can easily get 8-9" of clearance which will allow you to put in just about anything. And the nice thing is that even after doing that the rear seat is still comfortable. We had buddies who were 6' 4" sit back there all the time.

RE XXX comps in 03 F250 Doors

On my old F-250 I believe I had close to 3" or so before i got into trouble with the window. Don't hold me to that as its been a few years since I messed with one.

Need some help with my front stage

Im doing some research currently trying to figure out exactly what i want to do ltr this summer when I rebuild my system and am looking for some advice. Here is some background to make this easier for yall. Vehicle: Chevy Colorado Crew Cab Deck: Pioneer Premier DEH P-690 UB Amp: Undecided but currently leaning towards the Kicker ZX700.5 Sub: 10" SSA Dcon going into a custom sealed enclosure in the rear of the truck Front Stage: Undecided Rear Stage: Will decide after settling on front stage The truck is already deadened and the doors are sealed up. Speakers are 6.5s and will be going into the stock locations and Im going to run them passive. Im looking to spend around 200 on the front Componets. The only thing set in stone at the moment is the Dcon and the Deck. I picked the amp cause i could get a good deal on it but will go with whatever is going to give me the best results in my budget. I would like to limit total amp expendicture to around 300 but will go as high as 400. Im geared to go SQ with this setup. Im currently running 0 Gauge from the battery to the amps. My current system isnt worth mentioning, but my system from high school was 2 12" L7s in a bunch of different custom ported enclosures with the P-690 as a deck, Kicker Amps, 6.5 Kicker SS comps in the front and Kicker 6.8s in the rear of a Crew Cab F-250. I liked the Kicker SS speakers, but not sure about the new RS series, ecspecially at their prices. Ive also played with Alpine, Pioneer, JL, Infinity, and Soundstream Speakers. Some of the other options I was looking into were the Soundstream TRC 6.0s and the Hybrid Audio Imagine Series 6.5s. The problem is I havent heard any of the New Soundstream and was wondering what anyone here thought about them. Also never heard any Hybrid Audio and only know them thru reputation. Im currently leaning away from the Kicker RS speakers and towards the Soundstreams but Im also open to any other ideas yall have. Thanks everyone in advance for your time.

Ive nvr heard them but plan on checkin them out as soon as I can find a dealer who carries them. You might think about checkin them out too

Need some help with my front stage

No, I was the Pulling Guard. But our team was redneck as all get-out and one of the little Catholic teams we played were shouting that at us as we got off the bus. We beat them by like 50 and for the next 3 yrs we were "fooseball" players So just went to the local shop..... they are retarded as expected. The guys was a dick, their display board doesn't work, and even though he is an authorized dealer of soundstream he has NO IDEA about any of their current line-up....... WTF

Need some help with my front stage

I've talked to the owner of the closest shop who is authorized to sell the Hybrids, he is sposed to shoot me an email whenevr he gets the booth set up with the new speakers so I can go take a listen. He said it would be sometime this summer so hopefully thatll happen soon. The Fooseball is kind of an inside jock with my High School football team. Sorry bout the misunderstanding, but yes I actually play fooseball too

Need some help with my front stage

Ive researched the hybrids they have a new entry level componet set that are sposed to sound pretty good, the Imagine line. They are right at 200 a set. As much as i would love to run the Legatia, or even Clarus lineup on a really nice amp like the Sundowns, I just dont have the cash atm. College kid on a summer job budget. Im saving up now and the more I spend the longer I have to wait. The Kicker amp i was looking at is $275 and as far as I can tell is perfect for what Im looking for. I was really interested in the Soundstreams, My buddy had them in his truck and they sounded alright if i remember correctly, but thats been atleast 5 yrs ago and they were older speakers. I'm wondering if anyone on here has heard the new sets. Any input would be great. Im waiting for the shop in Ocala to get the Hyrids set up so I can go listen to them, but I cant find any shops that carry Soundstream. A few people on here have said their amps aren't bad but i couldn't find anything on the new component sets. Thanks for everyones help. As for the Football question, yes I was a pretty decent player in High school and had talked to the Coaches at UF about walkin on but at the end of my senior year a month before the State Weightlifting meet blew my wrist up clean and jerking. Titanium plate and 11 screws later it was fixed but that along with a partially torn rotater cuff and some other nicks here and there, trying to walk on just didnt seem like a good idea. So instead I sit in the stands and chear my beloved Gators to victory.
