And right before the trip I tore down my oil pump to find this in the strainer: Of course some small bits got through and I found scratches on the oil pump end plates, so come next oil change I will also change the oil pump. But props to the Jeep, only annoyance was a broken fuel return hose (I carry a spare hose with me) and it took me 5 minutes to replace. After we got back home (the wife-to-be) flew in on Thursday and we left on Friday, we went on a Jeep trip, toughest one ever, with trails on the mountain ridge, at over 5000 feet and I managed to bend my steering stabiliser, so now whenever I turn left, the car sounds like a barn door opening

I can dice garlic and onions pretty fast, that link helped me get better at dicing onions. Dude....turb0s... Damnit! I will have to be in France either in October or November again, most likely for 2 weeks, I'm pretty much free to plan my dates. What is your travel schedule? Let's work something out and meet in Paris!
-
Don't know if I posted but the work + vacation trip in France was awesome. Drove the Jeep there and back, picked up a low-mileage engine for the Miata on the cheap, visited some nice cities and the world's biggest ice cave.

We can get good avocados here in the land of vampires... Ripe after a couple of days of sitting on the kitchen counter and ready to turn in to guacamole.

Good job Matt!

Damnit, close again...

I have a base model Opel Corsa as a rental, the seats are HORRIBLE. I have no trouble driving 12-14 hrs with minimal breaks in the Jeep. 90 minutes in the Corsa and my back hurts.

NICE!

Bring them with you in Germany and I'll take them
-
And take it immediately to the crusher
-
When will you be in Germany? I'm in Paris now, leaving on Sunday but I will be in Paris between 12-23 June

Well, the Crimean peninsula is around 1000km away from me. Pretty close... And after occupying Crimea the russians critique Trump's actions in Syria and the fact that US approved Montenegro's NATO membership. So ironic that they're the ones talking.

There still are a few things to do, I'd love to get the front and rear subframes powdercoated, maybe next winter.

Damn, I want one! But I'm not sure which one I like the most, the RF (targa top, which I believe your AM ordered) or the convertible. Yes indeed. It's almost all done now, I even managed to get the catback exhaust off to make room for the differential replacement. Today I'm puting the wheels on, adjusting ride height and on Friday I will take it in for alignment.

Half the Miata is in one garage, half in the other. Pressed in nuts and rust don't mix.
-
That ceramic coating sounds interesting. I used abrasives on the Jeep. Trees and bushes and whatever you can find in forests It looks sad when it's clean. At least the street wheels off the newer model are in great condition.
-
Wow! Can I ship my Miata to him?
-
Moving forward.... Brakes and Torsen should be here Monday.
-
If it's any comfort, I lent the summer wheelset of the Miata to the kid with the ZCON wall.
-
The Torsen should really help at rallysprints, every time I exited a corner I would mash the throttle and spin the inside tire
-
I finally found a Torsen diff for the Miata, without having to sell a kidney. So big changes this spring: new coilovers, new rotors, pads and hoses and Torsen diff (3.9 gears versus current 4.1).

New APM-2 Video Feature Teaser

As long as it has Bluetooth 4.0 support it will work. There are a handful of devices which don't work as good as we like with the meter (first generation Motorola Moto G with Android 5.0.1 is one). -
Too much work. Some D-rings for shackles, a copy of the OEM ones will be just what I need. My fiancee was in the passenger seat and I really do not want to roll over my daily driver. All the other Jeeps which passed there took a different approach when exiting. I was the first to cross and the spotter was an idiot. Or a mute... But I will still buy mud tires. Old ones were 10 year old retreads, I was afraid to run them anymore.
