With the gas prices and snow season is getting close, I need to get my econobox insured and inspected. I kinda miss driving it. The shifter is approximate, front and rear overhang is almost inexistant and I can drive it like a rental.

I have a very very difficult time not buying a Mazdaspeed 6. It's less than what I sold the Miata for, has downpipe and tune, looks really nicely maintained and needs the transfer case replaced. To make it harder to refrain from buying, it's 20 miles from an airport to which I have a direct flight.

Average rent here is 4x lower than in Vancouver, and where I live rent is the highest in the country. Average pay for my position is 6x lower compared to Vancouver. Let's say I want a new Wrangler, I'd pay here as much as in Canada/US. Or even more. So ignoring the real-estate, consumer goods are really closely priced.

It's just an invitation to the interview, would be the second one, I already had a first interview with them in 2018. On one side, I can't complain about life here, in-laws are close, we're getting ready to build the house, the city and country is safe, I can spend time with the kid and wife instead of slaving away on a job. On the other side, the pay has way more potential than here, there are other opportunities for all 3 of us on the other side of the pond (jobs, education, travel, hobbies). I think the biggest factor would be distance from the in-laws.

Now, after the papework is done for the house and we have everything lined up to start building next spring, Amazon emails me for a job in either Toronto or Vancouver.... Such a tough decision...

Bonkers! I'm past 60k miles on the first set of rotors on my DIY big brake kit and they are now slightly warped.

This is my rebuild topic: https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/45933/ Lots of pics, even more yapping. I've since took that Jeep off the road and this new one obviously has one worn clutch pack as it makes a bit more heat than it should. And I'm unsure whether to rebuild the new trans (less miles) or swap in the old rebuilt one. The old one has the original bearings though, so more miles on them.

I fixed my Mercedes 5-speed auto. Only clutches and brakes, no bands, it was easy-peasy.

Of course. Downstairs we only have the garage, kitchen and living room. The architect said he had to move the furnace room upstairs to avoid having huge bedrooms

About as much clearance as I have in front and ack of the Jeep in one of the garages. Just put a wheel chock where the rearmost wheels should stop and done.

When I bought it everything looked excellent, no sign of any damage to the sill. Very low miles too. 2 years later ,the hack-job started to bubble up, the idiots who did it, did not coat the inside of the new metal with anything.

Extremely... Good thing I made a sheet metal brake when fixing the Miata. I had to fabricate and replace: sill corner, small section of the floor, inner braces and inner sill and by hand they would've ended up looking like shit. Excellent activities to pair with the sleeping schedule of a newborn

The NB2 is off for painting the rear quarter and the front bumper, just in time, as more and more people are posting ads they are looking for an NB2 And the wife's econobox is getting close to completion. This is what I faced after cutting the outer sill:

Nope, nothing fermented for Easter I think I'll ask my mother in law for some paprikosh next and I need to find an excuse to fire up the cauldron for a goulash

We don't use borscht at all here in the Transylvania (north-west of the country) but they use it in other of the country parts in soups. There's a possibility our ancestors met at some point though some polish food struck close to home
