    audioque hdc3 15'' wierd noise

Lol sorry man I just was irradiated that I couldn't figure out what the hell the noise is. But its not the box the depth of the box is 20'' so its not that. I thought it could of been the box came apart but its actually the subwoofer making the noise. I guess i'm going to back of the gain a lot more and see what that does for the sub.

Deto1992 even on audioque website they say you can have some fun if you ran 2200 watts to these subs but not for along time. If i cant find out a way to fix the problem ill be forced to send it back. uuuuugggghhh this sucks. thanks for your input though.

  6. Hey guys i dont know if this is the right place to post this but bare with me im a newbie to this sight... anyways i bought a 15'' audioque hdc3 d2 about 3 weeks ago once i got it i played test tones 25-30hrz on minimal power about 300-500 rms just to break it in get everything loose i did this for about 24hrs plus when i was doing that i made my box to what dj (i guess the owner) told me that is 4.8 cuft tuned to 36 hrz with 72sqin of port area i did the double baffle internal bracing aswell so after i finsihed breaking it in still lil stiff but nothing near what it was when i got it put sub and ported box in my truck and played some music ranging from 25hrz and up so my question is it makes a really bad noise when the volume is turned up 3/4 of the way dont worry its not clipping i set everything up with a dmm and actually back of the gain alil bit aswell still makes a mechanical noise or somthing is hiting back and forth really hard i dont think its tinsel slap since the tinsels are in the spider but some more info is i got a hifonics brutus bxi 2608d wired down to 1 ohm bass eq set to 0 subsonic set to 15hrz and gain is set alil less then 12oclock and 2 100ah agm batteries in the back do you think that im just powering it way to much and its bottoming out ive seen on you tube people putting almost the same power as me to 1 sub but please help i want to get your input before i spend the money to send it back so they can look at it
