Easily the best option, they have multiple different options depending on your budget. I can’t remember the last time I bought another brand of brakes for my daily drivers.

Thank you for yours as well, it’s always easier/reassuring that others go through the same thing and would do the same. There are days that I wonder did I do the right thing even though in the back of my mind I know I did. It’s hard giving someone a chance to improve their life and they throw it away for no reason. I will never have that mindset and have no idea why people think the way they do.

Had to do the same thing a year ago, tried to help a friend turn his life around. He took advantage of the situation and our friendship. I probably gave him too many chances to improve but I definitely don’t regret letting him go though.

    stupid ? About batteries

A 14v battery will require higher charging voltage. I believe XS recommends 16.8. So no if your alternator charges in the 14s it will not charge the battery correctly. You could also look into getting an external voltage regulator, modify your current alternator voltage regulator (if it’s possible), or upgrade your alternator. No need for that

    damn old people
  9. YES! glad to hear this is moving forward. No 2 channel, I would offer a smaller monoblock and smaller 4 channel power and price wise.

This is what I would recommend for you Aaron.

What company do you have service through? Budget?
  12. Power is equal to current multiplied by voltage. So 120 amps x 12-14 volts= 1440-1680 watts rms. Also, I do not see any pictures attached.

SSA Evil 6.5 Opinions & Info

Having spent ALOT of time testing these drivers in quite a few different installations (in door-stock locations, in car kick panels sealed, home audio sealed, home audio ported, home audio open baffle) I will say they are the best set of speakers I have dealt with especially for the money. SSA actually took the time to design their speakers and improve them through the design process whereas most manufacturers will just push out less then satisfactory speakers for most installations. That being said install and processing capabilities is key with any install. If you can provide more details on your install, the forum can help you achieve the results you are looking for.
  14. Fair price is hard to say, they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. If it were me, I would send them into Zed, get them repaired, and then sell them. Zed's repair service is excellent and at a fair price, I have used them quite a few times.

Will 14 gauge Sufide for speaker wires

Tabulated below are the recommended cable distances (+20%) one should use for various speaker cable gauges and speaker loads. Speaker Impedance 8 Ohm Load 6 Ohm Load 4 Ohm Load Wire Gauge Distance (ft) Distance (ft) Distance (ft) 18 AWG 10 8 5 16 AWG 20 15 10 14 AWG 35 30 20 12 AWG 60 45 30 10 AWG 100 75 50 Table 1. Recommended Cable Distances vs Gauge Realize once you attach a real world amplifier (non zero output impedance) and loudspeaker (reactive load), the overall system losses will be greater but the goal here is to ensure the speaker cable is as transparent as possible.
