  1. There is occasionally IC2200's floating around by TeamSSA members.  We do plan to bring back the IC amp line.  They were just ultra expensive to build and people didn't want to pay what they were worth.  Then people didn't always want to pay Black Friday pricing.  Then people didn't want to pay Black Friday pricing that hung around for 6 months.  Yet, other brands that were hype laden and were a far worse value sold very strongly.  So it is challenge to me to consider how and when to bring back a high end amp line if sales are not going to be very strong.  There is a 5,500 watt mono prototype for the line already.

It would just need to be called iPixel and they'd love it.

I've lost my patients with every member of my family, (read wife's family + Arthur as that is the family I have left) pressuring me to go Apple.  Funny, because it's my efforts on SSA that pays for the cell phones in my house.....

    Just order the Gcon thanks

I am heavily biased, but it is a win win overall.  The Gcon is also made in the USA, but has options available and you are getting a better value.

Dead or not, it is what I want.  Kills me that Honda has Acura, Toyota has Lexus and Mazda doesn't have shit.  If you compare ANY base model of any of them the Mazda wins in every aspect that isn't off road driving...yet, no luxury or performance variants.  Boo.  Major fucking boo.

On that note, the X3 MUST go.  Fucking hate that POS.  At the same time the Escalade has to as well.  I no longer care when something breaks which means it has to get the fuck out.

Mazda seems to be trying to slot between what would be the metaphorical Honda AND its Acura variant, but at the Honda level pricing.  With all the work they have done on luxury and materials and less on sport, that is the way it comes across.  Honestly, the new 3 Turbo hatch is almost perfect for a daily driver for me.

You know, their market share is so small, I think they could survive on Speed vehicles only.

In this region, the amount of Mazdas on the road compared to Honda for example is not all that far off.  So it is surprising when I see sales #'s.

2023 Mazda 6 rumored to come with a longitudinal straight 6 and a RWD platform.  Make a wagon and Speed version and I am interested!

I thought MazdaSpeed was dead?  That same engine and RWD is supposed to be what will be under the new RX-9 correct?

  7. No new toys for me, I put a ton in the market just before the election.  Turned out to be a good move as its up pretty strong since.  Will be unloading a bunch of stuff here in the next couple of weeks though.

I think I've decided on a single 12" ICON D2.  If I'm right I can power that with a Class D amp at 1 ohm.  Minimises space and power requirements, keeps the freight bill from the US to Australia down too.

So I'll pull the trigger on the 8ohm Evil 6.5s and tweeters, plus the ICON, then source some amps I guess.  Maybe locally, maybe second hand.  A Class D something-or-other that'll do 1500W+ at 1ohm and a quality 4ch A/B for the fronts.

Nice choice on sub and speakers.  Amp wise, we might be able to do a combo deal for you.

I found SSA while researching subwoofers online to figure out which would be best for my application I was totally impressed with the amount of help and products on the website as well as the owners and mods participating and helping on the ground level. Clearly the best place online for car audio very pleased with my first purchase even got enclosure advice from Aaron.

    Best site around

That is awesome to hear.  Thank you.
