    Ssa evil 6.5's

We carry plenty of co-ax and components, or if you want to go with an amp, we have plenty of affordable small 4 channels and amp kits available. :)
  2. Massive Audio now available at SSA!!!

13-band is the equalizer, not the crossover. So I am asking in terms of how will you be sending just mid-bass frequencies to the Evil 65's?

Trump is coming to town, so half of downtown is getting shut down in a few hours.
  6. I think it all relates to demand, that will effect part and production cost, which in turn effects end cost to the customer. Anything unique is usually not going to be cheap in a very established market place like audio. So that price effects sales figures, then in turn effects life span of the product. I can speak from experience, as our SSA Xcon subwoofer, (currently not in production) was somewhat unique and was at the top of its specific market segment in many ways. But what made it unique and better, was the motor. It consisted of a very expensive coil, a crap ton of steel, machined in shorting ring, and a large magnet. Those things alone drive our cost way way up, making it almost too expensive for us to make. Its costs per unit was percentage wise, very close to the bigger SSA Zcon.
  7. Really liking the little bump in traffic lately. :)

Yes, they will be fine off of head unit power. Does that head unit have a crossover in it? Asking as I didn't see anything on the Pioneer website.
  9. Hey Mike, I haven't used that Pioneer sub to speak from experience, but it will be a solid product simply from their reputation. If it fits your goals and is easier to set up/install go for it. We have plenty of people here with shallow mount / underseat subs that love them. Heck, there are some SSA F8L's in F150's. Sound quality will have far more to do with the install and enclosure than the sub.

Looking to buy American bass xfl 1244 box design

I'm confused as to what you are saying, if its a custom design to a specific subwoofer, how is it like a pre-fab?

The new vette is very attractive, but even if I had the money, I would give them another generation to sort out and get the new layout/suspension sorted. #becauseGM

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Speaking of new Fords. Well I got to spend a long weekend on the road with the (new to our family) 2018 Escape. It only has 7800 miles on it now (I put 500 on it over the weekend) as it was sitting in storage in Philadelphia for over a year I believe. It's a monster difference from our XC60 T6, but I have come to like the Escape (and it is totally unfair to compare the two cars). The 1.5T moves it along just fine for most needs, but not too much noticeable thrust. It is tuned and geared for MPG for sure, but I am surprised the MPG isn't higher. It's still 3mpg lower than the heavier, and much more powerful Volvo. The interior plastics are not my fav, but they are fine. The sound insulation is surprisingly good, and the front seats get it done for a road trip. Suspension isn't as soft as I assumed, and the body roll isn't bad at all. Interior space wise, its not all that much smaller than our Volvo. Its easier to pop around town to the shops in the Escape than the Volvo, Major bugaboos for me is the ergonomics, the tach and speedometer are too flat, the steering wheel stalks are too high, wheel doesn't telescope, brake pedal is not aligned with the gas pedal in terms of being able to slide your right foot to the left smoothly. But other than those few things, I really did like driving it all over PA and back, (in terms of filling the need for a safe, peppy, and comfy family car.)
