    If I got the ohms and found only one set of terminals I would that be enough to confirm what version of maelstrom I have?  They only had 2 revisions I think.

    It’s so close to impossible for you to not have COVID inside you and your family that I wouldn’t take that bet for a billion dollars.   The amount is so small that you cannot tell and neither can the type of test you used. Remember the microphone analogy?  Thanks again for that. I love learning.

    Home use.  I’ll work on those T/S.

    Going in the theater with my Energy RC50s for the towers.  Energy’s matching center and bookshelf speakers for the rear.

    If you need more zoom get a zoomier lens?  My 6D is still better in the dark than most and it’s dirt cheep.  Always just use the right tool for the job.

     

    That said, if work is subsidizing the cost…. Yes going mirrorless would make sense, but only for one reason.  The new lens format.  It will have a longer lifespan than my DSLR lenses.

    One vote for sealed!  Any other commentary from the peanut gallery on vented or sealed?

     

    Sealed sounds nice and easy. Lots of bracing and stuffing!  Treat the large flat panels with lots of braces and maybe tile some vinyl loaded areas in there?

    Nothing has been done yet, I make 2 giant MDF 3 sided long C channels so far. 

    One of them has a few inches of MDF that looks ruined completely from water.  So I’m betting I’ll need to take off 3 inches just to see if I need to do another 2-3 or if it’s gonna need to be more.

    Gonna have to start selling stuff to catch up with bills until the ex can divorce me it looks like.  
     

    Gonna be sad to let audio stuff go but you guys will be the first to get dibs. 
     

    I am really really happy to have some control of my life now though.  Sell some stuff and be in charge of my own food and vitamins for a while. Get back into physical therapy and hopefully unpause my gym membership and be able to use the hot tub again!

    Ok…..

     

    I think I am gonna work on those maelstrom boxes.  Don’t want to think, just need help.  I don’t think I even have the TS parameters for these old 18” maelstrom-x.  Each sub is a single voice coil. 
     

    Should I just seal up the boxes I have now, or should I design in a vent for the enclosure?

    Right now each box is 24”x 54” x 27”

    I may have to trim some of those measurements if the MDF got wet.  Right now they are just 2 C channels with 3 open sides.

    I’m powering the pair of maelstroms with a PLX3102 from QSC. I don’t think I’ll be able to wire them to squeeze the full juice out of this amp but I got it for a song and it is better then the low end roll off on the other options at the time  


     

    Throw out your ideas, might as well make it a group project!

    He had already Had a 500% gain from the original fraction of a cent value on the doge.  Then Elon or some one Tweeted about it. 
     

    We toasted to the yacht someone else got with his doge when he saw the charts.
