    my order..please help..

Just be patient you guys...These companies are literally SLAMMED with business during tax season, so much so, that they have very little time to answer emails as quick as they would like too, and they usually do when things are a A LOT less hectic. You All will receive your orders and you ALL will be dang happy you made the purchase BELIEVE ME!! These companies are working VERY HARD for ALL of their customers to build your product first and answer your questions when there is time. The wait is a very hard one. I personally know this. And personally just went through it. And I am happy as a fly trap hung in the cow barn!!!

    does anyone here mushroom hunt?

Psilocybin Mushroom's are the bomb : ) Spent many many nights and days alike experiencing life in a whole new Wonderfully, Hilarious, Odd, and Surprisingly Colorful way! ...I even have a tattoo, just ONE tattoo in total, on my whole body, and it is dedicated to the times I experienced while shrooming! (it is a crescent smile now moon smiling and a crescent cry later moon edited to look "crazed" lol with a custom hand drawn shroom with Psilocybin spores on it in the middle of the moons!) ...oh and I like regular mushrooms, fried, on pizza, sauteed, raw even and in salads covered in ranch is my favorite!
  5. I hate down time too!...I feel for ya! Your setup kicks ass, I checked out some of your vids on youtube, I like the one where you set your phone up and do a drive by...that is wicked loud!!! the location made it sound awesome also, between buildings like you were!

    my order..please help..

nothing to worry about friend, you will get better subs than your town or even state sells!
  7. I think the answer lies within your own comment right at the beginning ..if you swap radio's the problem goes away. That is what I would do, first thing, is return radio. Sounds like a faulty unit. In line noise suppressors, and ground loop isolators, only mask problems, try to NEVER use them! You did a good job with trouble shooting, if you swap out H/U's for the same or better you should be good, if you still notice a little buzzing (you shouldn't) I can tell you know how to trace down the source! Good Luck! EDIT: I LOVE KENWOOD EXCELON H/U's!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help me ID this Fi 18 I bought

If the RMS on the sub is correct according to your research then your amp will be fine as long as you adjust the gain/level knob until you hear distortion then back off a notch or two. If it takes all of the amps power that's great(up until your rated H/U's voltage output), if not that is also good too. Just keep your voltage gain behind your H/U's voltage rating using same technique and you will have some over head power which is also good.

ooohhh mann!! The cars flexin' more than I have ever seen it flex just on day one of play time!

  14. 140 amp w/ extra batterie(s) would be plenty with that amount of amprage. The big decision is (do I want to chance getting the off brand for the same price as a lifetime warranty Singer? which actually might be cheaper btw!!! I was quoted $439 for a 220 amp alternator and garunteed a 30-40 amp boost at idle!) lol...I am in the same decision process myself, and am also going to get another Battery (a Diehard Platinum PC1750), ODYSSEY makes those batteries!!!! I also like to "park and play" a little bit. I am running 1600w RMS daily with the Hifonics BRX1600.1D, and a Hifonics ZRX1000.4D for the doors, I wanted a lot of overhead power for the door speakers for clarity and it works wonderfully! (I really like both amps so far.. I've used them for over a year now) on one Odyssey group 65 PC1750 under the hood on a stock 90-110amp alternator, park and play produces big voltage drops on this low of an alternator, but for driving around and bumping I havn't had much, if any issues. And I don't just bump, I max that shit everytime, daily LOL.
  15. wow, that's a rough car to find an alternator for, he may need to have his rewound somewhere locally would be my best opinion, but I did find this... http://www.maniacelectricmotors.com/2655553.html It's possible that someone local might be able to re-wind his alternator for an even higher output than this one in the link however it does cost 300-500 dollars I assume, as it would around here. If he found one with a higher output for $400 that seems to be one of only a couple options. Micheal Singer at http://singeralternators.com/ from ohio is really good at what he does, maybe send him an email with the cars year, make, model, engine size, and engine idle speed and see what he can do! His alternators are lifetime garunteed and cost a bit over 400 dollars.

Sa-15 motor getting hot and surround ripping

yes that size of enclosure sounds MUCH better the tuning is obviously to personal taste, just pay mind to keep the SSF within 3-5hz below enclosure tuning.

There's nothing wrong with using more than rated power on any driver BUT it takes more attention to everything and a good ear to keep from destroying them. Extra power is good for headroom plain and simple. The headroom gets you more power to the driver with less chance of clipping and distortion. Nothing but a good thing as long as you don't overdo it on the volume knob. I understand what you are saying....but this is exactly why i tend to set up my systems where they are very unlikely to get overdriven. I just don't see the need unless you are competing. Admittedly i am just getting into this level of output, but I have always ran subs that had a bit more rating than the power I am feeding them, and have yet to blow an amp- or cook a woofer(except for the IA I just had reconed...and I was over powering it). But it seems self evident when you are feeding a 600w sub almost 1000w and it starts coming apart what the problem is.LOL I mean there are people on youtube feeding these 2kDon't worry about what someone on youtube is doing. That's your first problem. No reason to even reference youtube here. Obviously you're not doing something right as you are tearing the sub apart.Second what is the point for using that extra power on the sub other than increasing your risk of damage to the driver? You are looking at 1-1.5db more output, which is either fully or borderline inaudible in exchange for clearly overdriving the subwoofer. What exactly do you plan to achieve other than damaging the driver ? If output is the goal, that extra power isn't doing a whole hell of a lot of good. All it's doing is tearing the driver apart. Back off the power. Where is the subsonic filter set and how did you set the gain to know that it's "set correctly" ? I'd have to model the enclosures, but if the surround is tearing that's a clear indication of over excursion. So either you are using too much power for that enclosure mechanically, or the SSF isn't set correctly...or both. I am simply asking for his help. Do not state this is "my doing" my set up is very much perfect with nothing wrong what so ever. I know what i am doing. He on the other hand wanted me to post on here so that he could get more input on the subject. Instead i am being told that "I" am doing something wrong... Maybe you are or maybe you arent, and I say this because amp gains and Sub Sonic Filters don't set themselves for each different enclosure. Impious is right in that the sub is breaching it's xmax due to either the size of the enclosure or improperly set SSF or both. Also to make sure you have "overhead" power you need to dial back the gain behind the output of the voltage of you H/U. In this case I would either change out enclosures ASAP or dial back on the gain and double check the ssf.

The best solution then would be a smaller enclosure he could darn near run two 15's in that amount of space!
  19. One would also need to know the size of the engine. To find the exact match.. But after looking around they seem difficult to find no matter what the engine size is! That's a tough one.
