    Baltimore Riots

I'm here to play the devil's advocate and correct cnn's blatant disregard for the whole picture, yes blacks account for only half as many deaths by police than whites. But when you take into perspective that whites account for 63 % of the population vs blacks at a lowly 12%. So doing the math 1 in 160869 people were black vs 1 in 495000 were white. Now I've rounded down so these aren't exactly on point but you get the General idea. What does population percentage have to do with incarceration percentage? Cite the wrong stat much? You could also probably type cast the ones who have trouble in that situation by the crime they did too, but don't look at pertinent stats.Either way, the problem at hand is two things that both should be repaired. There is no reason to treat anyone poorly. EVER. I don't care what they did or whatever, just treatment is a right in this country. The other is the idiocy that leads to rioting. Those dipshits should be jailed/fined hard as that is completely unacceptable. I think he is trying to say that the percentage of white people are arrested in higher numbers because there are far more in the country to be arrested, but per say 10,000 people of each race, there are more black people arrested. There is no reason to treat people poorly but again, there are always people who think they are above the law and can get away with things because they wear a badge. I don't know why, but when a serious riot starts, police tend to back off and only arrest a fraction of the people involved, instead of taking the "shoot now, ask questions later" approach that has been storming the media lately. Let me explain cnn posted a statistic about the number of whites killed vs blacks, just doing the math is what I was doing.

No smell in the house. I mean it'll never leave the truck lol. I used some stuff similar to that it doesnt smell bad but the smell def doesnt go away for a very long time. My mustangs interior still reaked of it after i pulled everything out months later.

Looks nice so far, but man on that front stage unless you have all of the equipment you should really rethink it.

    Never is Enough, What Next?

In most cases adding power hits a wall of diminishing returns, increasing the efficiency of your enclosure will yield more results than just throwing more power. Liken it to a track car, you don't just start off with adding 100 more HP, you adjust suspension, weight, tires, and finally when you have that dialed in you add more power. What you have is a solid foundation of equipment just build upon it. I would look into doing a ported box, I am surprised you only could get 3Ft^3 in a malibu, modify or spend some time really seeing what you can squeeze out size wise.
  12. I'm sorry, I read that in the reverse for some reason. What app are you using to play music from? I know in spotifiy under music settings you can enable compression making all of the quietest points as loud as the lowest (Iphone only IIRC). Also it depends on at what rate your music is encoded at, since mp3 compression works by removing things that are normally out of the human hearing range which can cut out a lot of low end. Another thing to check for in your headunit settings is gain or in unit compression, when using bluetooth I had to enable this to even out the vast differences of recording standards. Thats why always having a little more power on tap or gain room allows you to make up the difference. Sometimes the standard music app. Sometimes the djay app. All my music is 256kbps AAC (itunes automatically converts it during sync). Might burn a CD with .wavs to see if the conversion could be culprit. I use the 3.5mm phone jack. No bluetooth. Im using my factory radio (BMW), no major sound adjustment options other than bass (on +2) and treble (default). Why would I want to make the signal flat? I never play with EQs because even though some people like to make music sound a step better, those settings might not be the best for the upcoming song. Try enabling dynamic range compression (DRC), that usually helps out a lot.
  13. I'll give it a shot on flat. Not expecting miracles though lol. Correct, so if some gain and frequency response are lost for FM transmission purposes, why does so much bass get played through my sub? I understand sometimes "muddy" low quality music can produce that extra-bass effect, but honestly, it doesnt sound as if this was the case. I'm sorry, I read that in the reverse for some reason. 14. To transmit music they typically compress the crap out of music, so you lose a lot of gain and frequency response. It would be likened to going from 96kb/s to 320 kb/s.

    Taramps TS 400x4

So I recently purchased a TS 400x4 from DJ Stage Gear. Shipping was fairly quick even though it came all the way from Florida to California. My first impressions, extremely tiny, lightweight, relatively cheap, and seemingly well built. I like the look of the machined aluminum with the rubber isolating feet. It stays very cool which is quite nice. The bad: Starting with gain knobs, from the very lowest setting there is NO sound kind of like a volume knob. So you have little room to gain out any line noise, which in my system apparently there is a lot. There is a very loud staticy sound as if the gains are turned up too high, even with it mostly all the way down. When its turned up slightly from the lowest setting it seems that only one channel of the two works. There is an integrated fuse on the board that is inaccessible to the end user; instead of having one on the chassis as many amps do. The power/ground/remote screws are extremely tiny especially if you're replacing another amp with this one, you either have to change the wire or trim it down to around 10-12 gauge wire. I absolutely despise the speaker wire attachment style plug. The connector would not accept 12 gauge wire, so I ended up having to splice a smaller 14 gauge speaker wire just to make it work. Although it's nice being able to completely disconnect all the speaker wire in one big block. There are no crossovers on the amp, just a LP, HP, and full switch. Which depending on your application could be a good thing or bad thing. End thoughts: For the price, its not a bad amp. I needed it to replace a failed amp, it does the job. But would I recommend this amp to someone else? Maybe, if it fits the bill and you're able to over look a few things then it'll work. It would be excellent for tight spaces, motorcycles, or as factory amp replacement. I would give it a 7/10 but not the best 4 channel amp I've owned but not terrible. Here is two pictures.
  18. I've worked every day for the last two and a half weeks so I haven't had much time. I started off by installing my spare 9887.
  19. Time to get loud New vehicle 05 Trailblazer 4x4.. Owned it one day, so guess whats happening?
  20. They aren't made by Duracell, they are another rebranded Deka 9a31. There are many many of them out there that Deka makes, Napa, duracell, Superstart AGM,NGT Xtreme, Diehard Gold AGM, Duralast Platinum AGM, I could go on but I think you get my point.

    Taramp's HD8000

Little background on my current setup, Two ZCON 12's wired to 1 ohm, 1 Mechman 320 amp alt with run of 4/0 positive and negative the rear, one Odyssey PC1800ft (a second sitting in my shed), and one Diehard Platinum 65. The back story/Good I ordered my HD8k from DJSTAGE Gear I paid about 8xx for it and it shipped from Florida and took a dismal week plus out here to California. When I got my package, it was well packaged; although minimally. My first thoughts, extremely light and overall better build quality than the TS4 channel. The pots seemingly had much less play than the 4 channel which was great news. Also the Power, Clipping, and Protection is a nice touch, while I am reluctant to touch the clipping indicator; the protection light is nice. Whenever it is near low voltage (~12v) it will begin flashing and then turn solid right before it is going to protect, Nice touch. Also the amp stays very cool even at ambient temperatures around 80-90s in a black car. I ended up getting the triple 1/0 inputs from ToolMaker for about 30 bucks shipped, shipping was quick straight from North Carolina. The sound. The sound is no different than any other class D Korean amplifier. Unlike other Brazilian amplifiers it does have better cone control at low volume while sitting idle, and does not have the same dampening factor issues such as the Soundigital SD16k. Now the bad, I will start from my biggest complaints to the smallest. The output terminals for the speaker terminals are NOT covered on top, I went to move the amp slightly when I was making sure it was working and adjusting the gains, I ended up accidentally touching the terminals.. OUCH, luckily it was on low volume so I didn't hurt myself too bad. Next are the INCREDIBLY loud fans, in an SUV or somewhere behind a wall might not matter, but in the mustang where it is about 4 feet away from you it sounds like a jet engine. The fans do not change speed based on temperature, they are either full on or off. The SSF goes from 5hz to 50hz, for me as I rarely run a SSF due to my experience using Korean amplifiers which run from 20-50hz. I got an unwelcome surprised when a song had a full reverse sweep that dropped pretty low and bottomed out on full power. Granted it was mostly my fault for not noticing that it started at 5hz, but it seems a bit unrealistic that someone would honestly need to go that low. All in all, for the price to power ratio it is a definite good deal which is a plus. The amp quality is on par for the price, however despite my annoyances I would probably recommenced this amplifier to a friend and that's fairly high praise coming from me. On to the pics

    Better O.S.

If you pm me I can get you a copy...
  25. Sorry, Alpine F300. I can get it for about $65 instead of $200Tank of an amp , I love mine and I've had it for over 7 years and it's seen a lot of abuse. You can run it with only two channels populated and it will be fine.
