NO. Use 750. Kicker tests one amp out of every few hundred and then puts it's power ratings on all the birthsheets of that run. Use the rated power to set the gains.
wow i did not know that.

im confused by all this. can you explain it to me?
What you have there is a birth sheet. A birth sheet shows what an amplifier can truly put out at the lowest impedance. So instead of being 750watts it is truly 930watts. I would use 900watts to set up the amp with a dmm.

anyone?
Post a pic of the paper so i can help you out.
As for setting the gains with a dmm use the 750 is fine u will not be clipping the amp at all, especially if it can produce 930 watts rms.

some of the cables have a drain wire, do i connect with the ground wire on both ends?? Or do i do it on the headunit side and take the other side and ground it to the chassis??

Look on Ebay for some Streetwires RCA ends. You should be able to buy them in bulk from someone. I have a ton of these things. I also happened upon 4-250' rolls of Tiff RCA cable and have been using this to make my own for every install since 2003.
How good is that Tiff stuff??
Any noise from your cables??
Also how is it per foot??

I was wondering if this wire would be ok to use to make custom rcas??
Here is the links...
P.S I know i made two topics about this but i placed it in the wrong section so if a mod could combine the two that would be great (Its in the techincal section)
Sorry and thanks
Just a shot in the dark, why make your own rca's?
For a custom fit and it supposed to be cheaper and better than buying rcas
Bigjon are use saying i could jus use speaker wire??
Cool. I might look into that myself, thanks!
Your welcome. Anybody else have done this and can give some insite??

if break in period means nothing then why do companys and people recommend it for about a two week period, just curious?
That doesn't mean take it slow, it means the suspension will loosten up and they will be louder after about 2 weeks.
^^^X2^^^
Did u have another sub in the same box, or was the bass cube made for this sub??

Dude,
chill out and you may get a reply. Posting every 3 min will not help get a reply.
Go eat a sandwich, have a Pepsi and come back.
It's not the amps fault it clipped it's you and your volume knob.
X2 the amp aint the problem. If you set your gains correctly and you know how to use the volume knob you will never have any problem.

But in a ported u wont see the full excursion unless u are right near the port feq.
Less excusion near port freq., more excursion a bit above (around 36-40hz )or below tuning.(20hz)
My bad thanks for the correction Krill007 and Lucky 76 you are welcome

Since I haven't had any takers on the sale yet. And no one must need an amp to go along with their subs. All you have to do is buy a sub to get a free enclosure. And pay shipping of course. AND I will give $50 dollars to the person who referred you to this deal. All I need is there name and contact information and I will send them $50 to their paypal account.
SO TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW: THEY BUY A SUB, THEY GET A FREE BOX, AND YOU GET $50
Another great deal Im thinking you will be getting many offers from this one soon. Good Luck

we played a wide range of music and it didnt really change ... also did a 50 hz test tone (only one i had at the moment) didnt really get much more .... the sealed was actually larger (1.6 cu ft) and the ported is 1.4 cu ft. would this make a significant difference?
Think about it this way ... a subwoofer creates two areas of air mass, One from the front and another from the rear. With that being said a sealed captures the rear air mass and uses that the push the woofer as well as the singal showing more excursion. In a ported the air excapes allowing not a lot of movement. But in a ported u wont see the full excursion unless u are right near the port feq.

i wouldn't use anything smaller than 16AWG speaker wire. 2 feet of 16 Awg can handle about 1300 watts

flapping noise out of port?
in Subwoofers / Speakers

if both ports are built excatly the same the only thing i can think of is its the tinsel leads on the sub slapping.
