    Welcome to the IHoP

And then they score to tie it up. Ford, Torx--of course. Make you run to the store for an odd size?

    Welcome to the IHoP

Pretty sure those are pinned, but haven't ever really been in one without power windows.

    Welcome to the IHoP

if you don't see it by pushing, let us know what kind of car?

    Welcome to the IHoP

Also, might have a "pop-off" cover on the part of the crank over the shaft it connects to with a hidden screw. 11 isn't real old, my current baby is 15: and I just got rid of my '59 beetle and 68 Ford G.XL (cry, after 360,000 miles of fun!).

    Welcome to the IHoP

Some have a little screw holding the crank arm onto a shaft, I have also seen press in pins, and others that are just pushed on (doubtful in a new car though).

    Welcome to the IHoP

Might read a little Horowitz and Hill to get back up to speed for the install I am starting next week.

Upfiring 15" Subwoofer in a hatcback

Actually in deebeez the real whole story is: Note: noticeable refers to the average human being: Pyschoacoustically 3dB sonically noticeable (not back to back, but just generally perceived increase) 1dB is noticeable back to back: a 3dB increase requires double the power from your amplifier with the same speaker 6dB is twice as loud when converted to Pascals, but not noticeably twice as loud: takes 4 times the power 10dB is noticeably twice as loud, but requires 10x the power assuming the same power and drivers: 1 driver sealed = xdB 1 driver ported = (x+3)dB (or same driver with 2x power sealed) 2 drivers sealed= (x+6)dB 2 drivers ported = (x+9)dB and so on. Hope this helps.

    New SQ car???

You really only listed two choices: the Lexus and 4 runner, but they are both rice fed. The other options are extremely boring cars, basically a reliable Taurus and would be hard to look out at it on the driveway and feel that warm and fuzzy pride you get from looking at a real piece of engineering work Obviously, I am biased but for a bit more fun, nicer fit and finish, more power, and reasonable insurance for the same dollar look at the 97&up 3 or 5 series BMW's. If you need utility and want it to be "sporty" you could get the touring wagon--don't laugh I wouldn't drive any other wagon (besides a Magnum) either.

    two 12's or one 15?

2 12's fit easy, I had a pair of 12's in mine. Loved the car and had 3 of them including 1 that I am sure was one of the fastest daily driver SHO's in the country. Vadim from the SHO shop built mine and it put out 425hp at the crank---almost too wild for a front driver. If you need mechanical help ever, post in auto and I will help too. Have fun with the 12's.

Any ideas for the new website?

Easy to navigate is always nice. The stupid gen whatever Nike like sites drive me nuts. I want details and I want to find them easy. That and of course the classic "Brag book" of installs and reviews is always a good idea!

    too much money

Doh!!! Been there and it sucks.

    Dave's Ride..............it's about time!

Ah, that's why they weren't posted. The guts would be the interesting shots...and crap, I was in VA this past weekend, but it would be a long way back from MN. I've got a pretty wicked RTA as well. Have fun!

    started box

Looks great. Since you told us what clear not to buy, will you share what you like? Even better if it comes loose so I can put it in my gun.

    Dave's Ride..............it's about time!

Nice work on the sub and amp install--I especially like the SQ focus, but where are the front stage pics??? If they are as clean as the rest I am sure we would all like to see them. It might help me too as I am just evaluating where and how to install my Seas Excel's and D2904's. That has got to be a blast to "have to drive" around town. Jealous I am, and if you add a little extra breathing capability to the motor and I might have to fly out to VA to go for a ride...

    ::::::my xb::::::

I'd like it more if you axed the lights, labels, and flair and put the money towards making it go. The suspension/wheel combo looks good--as long as you swapped the springs and didn't cut or heat 'em. Thumbs up on the Crystals.
  19. ///M5

RL-i 10's arrived, now box questions

If your target is .60 cuft you won't need stuffing since it makes the box "feel" larger to the sub. If it were smaller, say .55 then it would help; however you may prefer the sound with the stuffing or without. If you wanted to test it both ways, build the box at .64 as you said and then put something in like a 2x4 to compensate to make it .55 or .5 and add fill. For subs, personally I just like to hit my target volume as close as possible and forego the stuffing.

How did you guys find SSA???

Googling for information on Sound Splinter
  21. ///M5

    Uh Oh.......

Hey I know how you feel. Every project involves an hour of moving stuff outside and reorganizing everything. Sucks ass.
  22. ///M5

    nervous about this weekend

Good luck. Hopefully everyone there will be from WV, then you will win for sure!

we found out that me and the wife are having----

Congratulations. Being a bit Irish myself, I like Sean. Of course, being my name I have a bit of a bias.
  24. ///M5

I hope this does not affect any of our members

It's called, Oh Shlt engineering. They seem to be good at it.

I cannot believe I am about to say this....

Even funnier?? My M5 is not considered a performance car, just a standard sedan. $380 for 6 months full coverage. 373hp, 0-60 in 5.1, and a suspension with handling that rivals Corvette's and such (from the same years) and it isn't a performance car. I love Farmers insurance.....
