    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Paint will be dry by tomorrow!

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Mike - you da man. I drilled a handwarmer switch hole and 4 mounting holes. Test fits perfect. Need to sand it and paint and then she gets installed permanently.

Only vehicle I own (not the wives) that gets better than 13mpg is my atv. Operator error on the Escalade nets 8. Sorry you are digging your jam.

    Hdx3 18 bandpass design

The best suggestion for a bandpass is to not bandpass. There are small exceptions, but in order to point you in the right direction it would be good know your goals and purpose since that can greatly change the design.

    Upgrading Current setup

Looking forward to the updates! Enclosure looks much better. I didn't double check the math, but it seems reasonable.

And carrying gas looks like shit compared to not.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Trying to decide on carrying a spare gas tank or just getting a big one. The latter probably makes more sense, but is $250.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I didn't know it at the time though. 3 gal tank of which 1 gal is reserve

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I had enough in my reserve to get back.
  10. Perhaps the word "gained" is making this hard. If you go from an SQ box to an SPL box you gain output if you go the other way you gain a nicer frequency response. Both are opposite and "gains" depending on the person. Every manufacturer specifies differently therefore responding with a general overall gain isn't logical. If you want to be specific in your question then an answer makes more sense.

Building a rack to solve that problem too.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

They had my water bottle and my rain jacket. I unnecessarily had them loan me gas too.
  13. The response will absolutely change in a different box. Rarely is the OE offering an ideal box. Even if they did was it for pure output or a flat frequency response, both are near opposite...

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

But I was out of gas. Scared me, lol

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

No water in the airbox even though it was close

No ignition. Figured it was swamped.

She died while crossing some 2' deep water. Was about a 50' spot covering the trail.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Oops. Got her dirty. Was worse a bit later when we found the deep mud, but I didn't take any shots of that.

    Welcome to the IHoP v.2

New machine is a beast. Amusingly it is the fastest quad in our group...which I think mean that others are now going to spend some money. 4wd just isn't necessary. We went through some NASTY mud and deep water and rider capability made more of a difference than 2 or 4. 4's are just too heavy to get where they need to go. The monstrous torque at near idle helps too.

    Help on Finding Speaker

Interesting. What will it do there? Just wondering if there is some further way to optimize what you are doing.

Yep, you can build a box

    Possible head unit issue

I'd recheck your wiring. Sounds like your "fixes" jostled something that actually did the fixing.

    Help on Finding Speaker

What is the technical application? Probably another easier way to skin that cat.

    Sub options for a 2014 2500 Ram

Not saying there aren't others that could be okay online, but just that I personally haven't verified any so I won't recommend them.

Ha, that's not rude. Audio forum's have a tendency to attract people that can't use a tape measure which means estimating box volume is usually WAY optimistic. If you are positive, then we can work from that. Port size is a preference thing. If you don't want to hear it huffing you need a larger one than if you don't care. WinISD allows you to see this by calculating port velocity. I personally don't trust any online ones. Math is simple enough to calculate by hand as well, but it is so easy in WinISD.
