  4. It varies on the type of meter, but usually you have a positive and a negative (ground) that you want to put on the circuit's voltage you're wanting, and usually another positive, the first one to a 12v constant that is always hot (amps positive input), and the second positive or the trigger will go to what ever you want the meter to be on simultaneously with (your amps remote wire will work).

03 Lincoln Town Car Daily Driver Build

Glad its working good for you by the cat, it is a pretty easy place to run it. Also have to the OP if you have the stock alt you should look into the diode mod, it brought my charging voltage up almost a full volt,
  9. Cosmetically I would use the factory sub hole in the center. I agree with MJmarovi about loosing output if the woofers fire back into the trunk. If I were to do something similar in my vic, id do a bandpass and either port it thru the factory holes in the rear deck vertically, or cut the metal bracing behind the center seat and port through your fold down arm rest.
  10. So after more research the circuit above wont work, because the 555 timers don't have the current capacity to handle the LED strips Im gonna use. So any help would be great, Ive got a transformer already so I plan on having the actual timing and lighting circuit on 12.6 volts.
  11. I have an old traffic light that a famiily member gave me to rebuild, I plan on cleaning it up, and replacing the old incandescant lights with LED strips. I already have a small power transformer, and Ive figured out how im gonna do the LED's. I need help on where to find a suitable timer that can replicate the function of a traffic light, or just flash each light in order.

I would add a body to frame ground. Also I ran my 1/0 run in the same place as yours down the fuel lines, and the part of the wire by the cat. converter melted partially when I did it, so Id definately keep an eye on it. Looks good so far though.
  13. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I found a circuit already designed. http://talkingelectronics.com/projects/50%20-%20555%20Circuits/50%20-%20555%20Circuits.html#47 theres the link if anyone else ever tries this.
  14. I do have a bread board and many resistors already, thanks for the info. Ill look into that timer now.
  15. Any info on a timer for this?

Pics of car?? Should be a nice build. I think 8s or 10s ported thru the rear deck is a good idea.

Great looking work. You wouldn't happen to have a link to those LED's would you?

  21. Thanks for sharing the info man. Ive used polyurethane a few times on small projects, and I bet it took a whole lot of sanding to get that box looking that good.

    How long is that roll?
  23. The thought and time you put into this build really shows in the final stages, looks great so far. What did you use to finish that (birch?) box with?
