Just your basic introduction here, and a question to kick off my time here. My name is Matt, I'm new to this forum but have been a member of several other forums for many years, so I'll try to refrain from making noob-ish mistakes. Ha. Anyway, I currently have an Alpine CDA-9857 in my truck that's going to be replaced by a Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD that's currently in the mail. Also I've got some Polk Audio db6501 Components that are powered by a Rockford Fosgate P400.4, and a brand new 12" Fi Audio SSD powered by a Kenwood KAC-9152D. The Kenwood is getting sold tomorrow morning along with my old Kicker CVX. On the list of things to do is plenty of Raamat BXT, and two new amps…

Whats up. New guy here from Ga. Came here with the attention to the subs sold here. Looking to replace my ripped IA 12". Drive a MazdaSpeed3 and looking to replace my dead sub. Back to car audio after a loong time. I wont post a "whats the best sub" cause i am sure thats been posted a thousand times so I will do some research first. I am debating between 2 12" or 1 12". I have a brand new HiFonics 1000.d mono amp to pair with the subs. Thanks EDIT: I signed up 6 years ago but forgot. lol

hey all. im new to the forum, but not to car audio. currently running (2) 10" SE's off a RE12.1 in a 92 accord, everything firing forward and sealed off from the trunk. they sound sweet as hell. might not post much, but im sure i will be hanging around.

I would like to introduce myself, I'm Nick from Houston. First, thanks for making an incredible place for someone like myself to learn and discuss audio. I found sundown and that's what led me here. I'm a DIY person but don't have quite as much knowledge as I should and would like to educate myself with the goal of reducing my mistakes. Car audio has changed quite a bit. My last system was 2 used 12's and amp installed in a 91 eagle talon back in high school. Oh, I also had tweeter stuck to the pillars completing my "system". Hello everyone, I am just getting back in to car audio after 18 years . I have a 95 Accord Wagon that I am slowly building. Most of my equipment is from the mid to late 90s lol. I was a Kicker fan boy back then. Here is what I currently own, HeadUnit- Pioneer DEH-P9200 Subs- 12 NIB 10" Kicker Solo Barics (old round c series and d series) Components- 6.5 Kicker Resolution Series. Only item installed is the Pioneer Headunit. Big 3 is done and have ran 1/0 to the trunk.

Just wanted to say what's up. Im currently driving a 06 gmc envoy. So far audio wise I have a Jensen flip out (came with the truck....hate it) sub is a 10" ssa gcon in a custom fiberglass box built by me and the sub is powered by a ppi black ice 1300.1 door speakers are factory. Nothing to exciting. Im also working on my wife's xterra which is/will get a full audio revamp.... in the process of building a fiberglass enclosure for two 12" aq sdc2.5 for the sub stage powered by a mb quart onyx 1500.1 and the front doors will get 6.5" cadence comp and rear will get a set of cadence coax powered by a mb quart onyx 80.4...... nothing to crazy either....be more show than anythi…

been on some fiberglass forums and they dont like all wood boxes that much so i went looking and found this site after search for poundthat sound i love his boxes...what im looking for is i have always built sealed boxes and wanted to try my first kerfed port box ...i need the tips on how to tune it and just about everything i need to know about ported boxes thanks

We've been lurking for a couple of years now , and since my son has some questions , i guess we should introduce ourselves . I'm Clay 47 yrs. old and my son is Josh 23 yrs.old . We are competing in MECA AS2 this year . We have a 1997 4 door Blazer with a MOJO 15 D2 being pushed by a Sundown SAE1200D . So far the big 3 is done in 1/0 , 2 batteries and pretty much stock from there . Highest score so far has been 144.9 on music , engine off per class rules . We would like to say thanks in advance for any help we ask for and thanks for a great site as well .

Hi all , I'm dice from the uk and am a keen bass head I've just purchased a fiat punto van with a 1.7td engine and some ascendent audio havoc 18's and two Orion d5000 amps and I'm looking at making a ported enclosure to the design I'm linking on this post . Is there anyone on here that could help me work out measurements for the box ? The sizes of the space in which I would like the enclosure in is 34high x 20" deep 53" wide which is just over 17cuft i'f I've worked it out ok :/ Hope someone can help I'm all eager to get started .
