This is my first post on the board. Just saying hello. I am the proud new owner of a ZCON 15 as well as several other products purchased through SSA. I am 49 years old and have been fooling with this stuff for over 30 years as an amateur. I recently built my best system yet. I'm not totally a noob, but I'm no expert either. I look forward to discussing and learning about car audio.

Hey guys, I'm new to car audio and just installed my first sub a few days ago. It's a 12 inch Dcon D4. I have it running at 2 ohms off of an audioque aq750. I built the enclosure using the optimal ported recommendation on the SSA website. The problem is I cant turn up the gain on the amp very much without the sub making a rattling noise. Any ideas what I might have done wrong to cause this? I know I'm not getting anywhere close to full potential out of this thing. With the gain set low enough to eliminate the rattle, the mirrors don't even move! The sound is very good, but there just isn't any power at all. All advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello fellow floridians . I am in the first couple stages of making a car club based out of central florida. Our club logo has been made as well as decals for all the cars. Our club name is Southern Comfort, we wanted something to do with the south and I think we nailed it with this club name. hey all, I'm just joining the forum for some advice and tips on an upcoming stereo install that i'm gonna do when i get home. Trolled for a while, but I'm active on a few other boards. I've been doing 12v work for a while now, but I'm just now starting to pique an interest in car audio. Looking to put in a street system in my SHO. Plans thus far, are a Hypnotic 75x4 powering some Pioneer REV-series decks and doors. HU is a Pioneer DEH-P4700MP, for now. Looking into double DINs. For a sub, probably a Mach5 10", on an undecided amp. Not looking to get too loud, but loud enough for me. I may not build a competition system, but I'm a learner. I'll take whatever knowledge I can get, need it or not.

Hey, I'm an old retired dB Dragger that followed Nick Wright and the Incriminator Audio guys over here. I have been away from car audio for a few years now and was doing some research for a friend that wants me to do his install. Glad I found this place...what better company than a bunch of people that think just like me! I like the forums appearance and so far have seen alot of helpful information being exchanged. hey everyone, just checking in and getting ready to start on my build but need advice. Build consist so far of 2 BM mkIII, and thinking of running 1 sundown SAZ-1000D , and still searching for components and a amp to power them. The vehicle is a 09 f150 super crew.

Hey guys, need some help.live been competing for years so I have some knowledge, but I'm not up to date on the power I need to supply the amp I'm wanting to go with. I have a 220 amp alt. And hc 2400 kinetik. I'm.going to b running two fi bl 12's dual 2 on a sundown 3500d. Daily will b run at 1 ohm and compete at .5 ohm. Do I have enough power to push the amp to full potential? heyall, i'm mike from indiana, 33yrs. currently upgrading 05 honda civic system and i took some shortcuts that i know some would find repulsive. (like instead of removing door panel, i dremel cut out the grill to replace OEM door speaker)...stuff like that. though i have been on/off car audio some 18 years, still a lot of technical stuff i don't know. Hello, before i begin my article I wanted to list out all the specs, measurements of everything i wanted to put in this car. To tell you I'm only 16 and i'll be getting my drivers licence soon and I wanted to put a system in right when i get this car. Electrical specs: I would be having everything from battery to alternator that was already put there during the manufactor process. So 1 200-300 volt hour battery with a regular stock alternator. I will be buying 1/0 gauge wires going from the front to the back for the amp. A fuse holder that runs from the battery to the amp.
