  2. Hello all! My name is Dan and I purchased a 10” DSS Ethos subwoofer a couple years back and I am finally ready to get it installed. I know absolutely NOTHING about this sub. The person I bought it from I have no contact with, however he recommended that I purchase the Crescendo Audio Symphony series S1500.1 amplifier. Like I said I know nothing about this subwoofer. I was wondering what specs I should use as far as building a enclosure. I have a 2013 Focus St Hatchback. I would appreciate any and all feedback as to what kind of enclosure it requires. Thank you all ahead of time. Dan

Just threw two x18 v.2s in my Yukon in a 15 cu ft box on an SCV4000. Very impressive, but I developed coil rub after just a month. It's really strange because there is no felt rub when you press down on the cone.. Actually, it only rubs when the coil is cold. After I pump one second of true RMS to it, there is magically no rub.. The other sub is fine. I monitor the clipping light religiously and the only time I see a red flash is on the attack peak of bass notes. From what I have researched, a slightly flashing clipping light is pretty normal and a fast flashing light is slightly overpowered. Solid red is clipping. \ As far as I can tell the sub is fine when p…

Hey guy's! As the title states I am new to the forum. This is my first post on any forum, so....be easy on me on this post and future posts lol. So just wanted to say wassup and glad I found SSA! I have been reading threads on every sight imaginable, just reading and learning about the do's and don'ts of car audio. Also, a ton about different brands and all that good stuff. Stumbled upon SSA and heard nothing but awesome reviews and personal experiences with the company as a whole. Again, glad I found them! After drooling over pictures of several SSA products for 2 years, I finally purchased my first ssa products. Just got 4 evil 6.5 mids and they look awesome! They aren'…

Hey, I'm new to the world of subs/amps and all this. I am buying a new truck soon, don't have a good sound system, I'm wondering what would be good for someone like me I LOVE bass, absolutely love it. What combination of subs/amps would suffice? And can anyone make a guide on how to set it all up once I get the subs/amp? If you need me to be more descriptive about what I like, I can be. something around 2000 watts(both subs together) would be great. (remember I know nothing about subs except that they produce lovely bass)

Apparently our first three posts are supposed to be here, so I want to jump right in, haha. Don't judge, but I want to wall two fifteens in my 2001 Jetta. I have very minimal experience sadly, and don't care about ruining the car too much. I'll be powering the two DAD BD15s with an arc KS2500.1 I know I'm leaving out some information that's needed or whatever, so ask away. (:

Hi SSA, I have been looking around car audio forums and have decided that this would be the best place to join as I am trying to get honest answers to some questions that I have about a system that I want to build. A bit of background on me. I am a resident of New Mexico and have a degree in EE. I had an '03 Toyota Matrix upgraded with two of the OLD Alpine type R 10" subwoofers, Alpine head unit and a whole host of different components powered off a 45W alpine 4 channel amp. Alpine fan at the time. I currently have an '08 Chevy Cobalt Coupe wi…
