I've been installing systems since the late 80's early 90's as a hobbie. Love all the new ideas and creations that are out there now. Car audio has come a long way! Looking forward to learning something new from this forum!

Hi first post thanks for letting me join . I recently had the following installed in a 1999 C5 Corvette . Kenwood DMX 7706s JL Audio HD 9001/5 Amp Morel Virtus Component 6.5 Soeakers (Front ) Morel Tempo Ultra 602 (Mid) JL Audio 10W3V3-4 Rear Sub ( with adjustable knob) The sound sounds real washed out with no “punch” to it . Any suggestion on what could be the problem .. or amp setting that I should check ? I would really appreciate any help . Driving me crazy ! I included a pic of amp settings .

Hey guys comming over here from CA.com since Im gunna be looking for some Sundown and figure out where Im gunna go with the new system... My moto with my systems is "Stay small and get loud" meaning I have a personal goal to try and get loud with smaller subs while on an average Joe budget... Hope to start talking to some of you and maybe doing some business as well! P.S. Ive got a DD 2512 that needs a new home for the next build if anyone is interested...

Hows every doing! My names Kyle I live in clarkston MI and just got my 2 12" Zcons finally installed. This is in a 2002 z28 Camaro haha yes I've seen Steve's walled off maro but I could never do that to my car. Anyway I'm usuing a soundstream xxx6500d for the subs now and they slam! There in a crappy box to that rests on my folded down back seats. Working on a box for my Ttop well box is actually a t line tuned to 36hz. Blows away a lot of my friends systems besides my buddy Dan who has 6 18" icons in a 4th order hahahaha anyway enough of my talking I'll post some quick pics

Hello, Just picked up an FI BL 10" from a local classified w/ a kenwood 800w amp(probably not gonna use) for $120!!! Kid said it was an SSD but upon removal and further inspection it is a BL, D2 config. I just printed the cut sheet for a new box and am currently in search of a new amp. I wired up my Memphis MC500.1 and that BL just laughed and barely moved @ 1ohm. I never should have sold my 1k!!!! Oh well!

Whats up. New guy here from Ga. Came here with the attention to the subs sold here. Looking to replace my ripped IA 12". Drive a MazdaSpeed3 and looking to replace my dead sub. Back to car audio after a loong time. I wont post a "whats the best sub" cause i am sure thats been posted a thousand times so I will do some research first. I am debating between 2 12" or 1 12". I need some suggestions on what subs to wall up in my 2001 2dr S-10 Blazer. This will be my first real build the only thing I have had that was "loud" was 2 15" Kicker L7s dual 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm by a 2000 watt hifonics brutus (The only competition I was ever apart of I got 3rd place with this system in 2008 at milan dragway in michigan at some street warriors 2000+ watts class I wasnt even going to enter. Hey, I'm new to the world of subs/amps and all this. I am buying a new truck soon, don't have a good sound system, I'm wondering what would be good for someone like me I LOVE bass, absolutely love it. What combination of subs/amps would suffice? And can anyone make a guide on how to set it all up once I get the subs/amp? If you need me to be more descriptive about what I like, I can be. something around 2000 watts(both subs together) would be great. (remember I know nothing about subs except that they produce lovely bass)

hey guys, stoping in to post up. new to the forum, and have found a lot of NEW things. anyway, a little about me, i drive an 08 crew cab silverado, with a stock deck and stock door speakers. i do have sound deadening in the doors and back wall (that i think i over paid for and it really doesnt do sh!t) i also have two rockford 8's (P2D48's) in a sealed box under my 40% flip up seat. it fits perfect, nice and tight. the box is only just under .6 Cubic ft. and im getting roughly 115 bd with my Radio shack DB meter. im using a punch 500.s amp. i also have a "signal booster" inline with the "high-level to RCA" devise, and with that, i have to have my gain all the way down, my…

Hey guys, need some help.live been competing for years so I have some knowledge, but I'm not up to date on the power I need to supply the amp I'm wanting to go with. I have a 220 amp alt. And hc 2400 kinetik. I'm.going to b running two fi bl 12's dual 2 on a sundown 3500d. Daily will b run at 1 ohm and compete at .5 ohm. Do I have enough power to push the amp to full potential?
