Ok, New to the site do hello everyone. I am currently deployed and have a question. I have a standard cab Chevy Colorado, during my first deployment i had a kicker ZX700.5 installed and it ran my to kicker L5 10'' and my Alpine Type X components. Not sure how loud it was but i enjoyed them to the fullest for the past 4 years. Well i am deployed yet again and got bored, so i decided a up grade was needed. Here is my questions...how well of a up grade did i do? I now have 2 Kicker L7 10" in the same box, and a ZX1500.1. That was easy simply becouse the box had the old amp counter sunk in it..the 1500.1 was the same size. And i swaped the Type X components to the kic…

Hello Everyone, I have some questions concerning a high output alternator and figured there's no better place on the internet to find a good answer to my problem. I own a 2002 Tahoe, and am in the process of trying to set up dual alternators. The alternator I ended up with is manufactured by Mean Green Industries. I know nothing about this alternator. The website tells me very little useful information about it. When I attempt to contact them I get voicemail every time, and the box is full so I cant even leave a message. Well built this Powerwheel for my son to compete in USACi and MidwestSPL competition. I had an old 12" pioneer sub in it but now I am thinking about building a box for an 8" sundown. I have an SA-8 v1 sitting in my garage I am going to play around with. Right now I am using an 10yr old Sony MP70 headunit, along with a 12yrd old American Bass CX-1500 Amplifier. Hey guys. I found this forum while searching for info on Fi subwoofers. Though I'd join and read up, gain some knowledge. Not a total noob to car audio, but I'm far from a pro. I've installed HUs, wired amps up, simple speaker installs. That's about it. New here i like checking out new forums i'm in and out of term pro alot and have competed in db drag for some years now. I own a audio shop and like I said I like to keep my ear to the ground on new products and techniques. I currently am waiting to get my new ride out but in the past I've ran DD,Image, crossfire, re, premier,us,lanzar(one of my favorites), and alot of other crap.. last year I ran a 96 cavi with 3 lighting strike 15" in a wall with 19 cubes and bout 300 sq of port it ran 149.9 daily lol i love my sleepers. hope to see what this forums like

I came here because I really like SSA, sundown, and FI stuff. But here's a rundown of my setup in a 2004 dodge ram. I have boston acoustic door speakers, a kenwood receiver, pure 1500d subwoofer amp running a alpine type r black cone (1000w rms) in a fox box. Now can i ask questions yet, or do I have to wait?

Hi im new on this forum. I recently purchased a FI X12 and while looking for information I stumbled accross this website. I am pretty new to car audio. Mostly because im 17 and have had my license for a little over a year. I started out with a lanzar max 12 and a pyramid classic amp off of amazon which cost me around $100. i made my own box. i installed everything into my truck my self. I replaced all the door speakers with kicker ds6.5s and the head unit is a clarion cx501. from there i upgraded my amplifier to a powerbass 400.2. I'v made probably 4 different boxes and im now making a new box for my X12 that should arrive on wednesday. tell me what you think.

Hi guys, i am fairly new to this so all/any help would be useful. i have a Optima 55 battery and the problem is that everytime i really test my car on Termlab the battery starts to clip/cutoff. The voltage drops from 14.4V to 11.8V. What can be causing this problem. My car runs on the IASCA format and does a 150.5dB in the Rookie Int. Class. the car clips at 150.5. I am really eager to know what this could be. Looking forward to your help guys. Thanks.
