Hello fellow floridians . I am in the first couple stages of making a car club based out of central florida. Our club logo has been made as well as decals for all the cars. Our club name is Southern Comfort, we wanted something to do with the south and I think we nailed it with this club name. My name is Ryan, I am 23 years old and I currently reside in Orange City Florida which is about 30 mins north of Orlando. I am a Information Technologist at a Urology office in orlando during the day, and I spend hours after work with my gf and my other gf(my bu) . As for the club, I want to have monthly meets with all the guys and eventually grow the club out to all parts of flori…

I'm new to posting on the forum, but I have been viewing threads on SSA for a while now. I recently tried to post an ad to the classifieds for my TC Sounds LMS12's but failed to read that I needed 25 posts and I also need SSA in each picture. I figured I'd let you guys know what my setup is as of right now to start things off: 07 Black Civic Coupe Ex Phoenix Gold Octane-R 15.0:1 Monoblock Amplifier Fi 15" Q (+BP Power Option) Ported Box Built to Specs (Flare on Port Added) No Head Unit, Stock Premium Speakers Stock Battery/Alternator 4awg Power and Ground This is probably my 5th setup ive had. sup people another noob here from hawaii. I was looking for some temporary bass while my stereo integrity mg d2 is being reconed so I decided to try out SSA's 12" dcon. My old setup was a sundown 1500 and sundown 100.2 amps... cdt components...stereo integrity mag d2 sub. but sold my car....and got into the horsepower addiction with a trailblazer ss. now that I reached my goal of 600hp...i'm tired of just hearing my exhaust so slowing building a mild stereo setup. so i ordered me a 12" dcon and some hybrid audio components with a sundown 100.4 amp for now. heres my old ride...will post pics of new ride when i get everything installed

After a few year vacation I'm back. Since then the Explorer and the system are gone and now I have an 06 Altima. In the coming months I'll be trying to do something small like a single 10 or a 12. I miss anything good? haha.

I am trying to put together quality budget system for 60yr mans street rod.Looking at single 4or5 channel amp comps in front, coax for rear fill off of head unit and single 10 or 12 ,but would consider an 8 or pair of 8's.Car has full dynamat interior.Components will most likely be in lower front corner of doors,so tweeter location is unknown but most likely next to mid.Amp will be bridged on rear two channels for sub, remote sub nob would be nice.Sub depth is a concern +/- 6inches Speaker I have heard and liked. Polk mm.S329 Pioneer ts-d $200 Polks not worth extra $ but have better bottom end Bravox cs60k or carbon fibers ,have not heard Amps looking at cadence Ia4,arc…

Hey guys this is my first post here, love the website. Anyways, i just purchased a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic reg. cab a few months back and the stock radio is driving me crazy! What im trying to achieve is a SQ oriented system, not necessarily competition quality but enjoyable SQ for all types of music from bass heavy rap to country to classic rock and everything else in between. I would like it to sound good at both low and high volumes and when needed/wanted a lil thump. Im trying to keep the install as stock looking as possible. So here’s what ive sketched up. Please give input on what you guys think, Thanks in advance. Head Unit - Alpine INA-W900 Speakers - Hybrid Audi…

New guy here. Looking for help on a potential audio setup for my 2010 Dodge Charger. I'm looking to get 2 12" subs, amp, and enclosure first. ( <<<looking to spend about $800. is that feasible?) Then looking to get an aftermarket head unit down the line. I honestly have no idea about car audio so I need some suggestions. I want something that sounds good but hits hard. I mostly listen to hip/hop n rap so I like bass but not to the point that's all I hear. Any suggestions or opinions would be great. I know you guys probably get these questions all the time (sorry) but I figured I'd ask people who know something about car audio. Thanks, Blunt

First off i just to start by saying hello to everyone here at the ssa community. My name is Tommy and i have been studying these forums for some time now. I have a minor question upon my entering the community, i did not want to place this in the wrong place considering this is my first post. Well here goes *shoot* Looking for the best 12 inch subwoofer + box for under 200$. Will run off of a 1000 watt Sony Xplod XM1652z ( It's all ive got for right now and i plan to replace it real soon, i know of all the bad terrible things but it was given to me for free). I listen to a lot of dub step/techno. The Pioneer TS-W302R 12 and sealed box i bought of my buddy for kicks and gi…

ok so basically I bought an amp and sub and box for $650 with tax from the local car audio shop. The prices were the same as cructchfield for the amp and sub. The problem is the "universal" ported box they gave me for $50. I did a lot of research and it turns out the box needs to be specifically built for the sub or it can damage it and not hit hard enough. The sub hits pretty hard as is but it definitely doesn't feel like it's getting it's potential My sub is a JL 12w3v3-4 and the amp is an RF P500-2 My main question is: Should I take the universal box back and get a $50 credit towards the custom box (which will probably be marked up a ton) or cut my losses, try to sell …

Hi everyone. I've been coming to this message board for about 2 years now just to lurk and read over your technical threads again and again. It has been interesting watching this place change. I've been wanting to engage more with Audio community in general, but I can't bring myself to post on other message boards for reasons we will just leave alone right now. I'm doing what I think are some cool things right now, and I'd like to share and gather input from other users. I used to compete in dB drag, but in the last year i've been more and more interested in hifi and audiophile sound. I have a pair of 36" tall tower speakers I'm going to be rebuilding soon, and a 91 Ho…
