Just wanted to check in and say hello to everybody here. Anyways.... I'm not exactly a car audiophile but I do enjoy bass. Currently running 2 sa-12s powered by 1 sax-1200d. Not much car audio going on here in Taiwan, so that means not too much help. Was hoping to learn a few things while I was here. Thx for reading!

Just a newbie and got word about this site from caraudio.com. I was startin to not like that place at all so hopefully this forum is a lil better. Well anyways there's already a couple of posts about that so i'll just say my hello and begin readin up. I drive a 96 accord sedan, its basically just a beater until I get out of college in a year and buy something nice. I'm looking to put a new headunit, and a sub in it. Currently it is all stock. So I'm looking for recommendations on a basic headunit (under 200? is that realistic?) that can just play cds and also an ipod. I've been looking at subs and amps also, in particular the FI Q 10 or 12. What amp would you guys recommend with these subs? Just checking in, new to the forum. Ive been into car audio every since i heard a wall with 12 10inch JBL's, in a 1973 impala with primer paint job, and 13inch Dayton wheels, 10 years ago lol. I do have quite a bit of knowledge of car audio/video design and whatnot. I mainly knew about mainstream, "household" name brand companies, up until a couple years ago. I lurked around a couple other sites, and i found them not really helpful ( too much bashing others and off the topic talk ). This is the best one i ran into plus it has manufacture boards which i find very helpful

Hey all! I'm glad to be apart of this forum! I am looking to get a new sub woofer. I had a 15" Kicker L5 that died on me. I am looking at the Fi Q but wanted a little advice first. I am looking for a good SQ sub and I ahve heard that the Fi Q is a good one. It will be powered by ZX750.1 which from what I read is a little underrated. The fact that it fried my L5 which is rated at 750w RMS also leads me to believe either the sub was over rated or the amp is under rated. The amp is hooked straight to the battery via a Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge kit. I currently have a cheap auto-zone battery but I will be upgrading to an Optima Yellow top soon. Hi guys please can you assist I have a Isuzu super cab with one 12 inch dvc sub. My bass sounds better with the doors open. What could cause this? How can I fix this. I have tried a slot port box and a ported box. Same result . What next ?

Hello all. Its been a while since I was into or did anything with car audio, but I've always had music in my blood so the fever has come around again. Hoping to catch up on what's new and hot and see what I can do to upgrade my recently acquired Mazdaspeed 3.

I'm on CAF by the same name, it's gone screwy so I've popped over here. That's basically it...is there a protocol for this site like you have to be here for x amount of days before you can offer advice or weird stuff like that? My "system" if you can call it that, right now is two SSD's in a ported box off a hifonics bxi 1606d with type r comps of a PG 250.2. Within the month is going to completely change to a 10" BL off a cadence txa1000d, phoenix gold ti6's or if I can get the fundage Focal k2ps, off a cadence txa 3002. Fully deadened doors, amp racks and everything...I'll keep ya'll posted.
