New poster to the forum. I was away from car audio for 12 years or so but I gave in to the bug again in the last 6 months. I am shopping for a new sub at this time. Waiting on the GCON to be re-released, as I have been looking at many different subs and it seems to be the best fit in my price range. I bought a JL 12w3 last year but my car audio rust was showing, as I bought it on ebay and it blew with no abuse. Now I am looking to do it right this time and landed here at SSA.

Just wanted to introduce myself- I'm an active forum participant on a whole slew of forums, primarily www.caraudioforum.com (top 10 poster) and www.caraudiotalk.com (moderator), and about 15 others... At any rate, I've been into car audio since I was about 15 years old, and I'm turning 30 this spring (booooo!). That's a long time... Happened to stumble across this board in my search for a set of subs and an amp for my pickup. Got my truck runnin at 700hp but it has no bass! Cant be having that... I plan to build a fiberglass sealed box under the rear seat of my 2003 4 door dodge 2500. It should net me at least 1.75ft3, so most likely looking at .75ft3+ per sub box. Being in my twenties i listen to rock, rap, hip hop, country, classic rock. Im just looking for decently hard hitting bass when i want to crank it up. Not looking for top of the line sound/equipment that will cost an arm and a leg. Looking to spend no more than $300 or so on two 10's, plus an affordable amp that will push the subs to thei…

Hello. Been looking for subs for my truck and came across this forum. I've learned alot that I didnt know from researching. I had my previous subs stolen out of my truck. Looking to do a stealth build and not go mainstream. I have alot of questions but have answered alot myself from researching. I am not new to forums at all, just to audio forums. A lot of good info.

Well I figured I'd go ahead and make an account..have been lurking for awhile now. I have a 98 GMC jimmy with 2 SA-15's and I just ordered 2 more 15's today. So I'll be starting a build log soon. I've already learned a lot from the forum and plan to continue learning as I go.

Hey guys, I'm new to the ssa community and I just had a question about whether I would be better off with 2 12's (most likely fi q 12's ported and tuned low) or one really loud 15 (most likely a DC xl 15)..obviously ported.. Ok first of all, ill start with the basics..I drive a Volkswagen jetta so the most I can squeeze is 3.5-4 cu. ft...and for power I've got the audioque 2200d and a 220 ho alternator with 1 red top (starter battery) and the big 3 with 4 Ga...now given my trunk is relatively small..I would probably be better off with 3.5 cu. Ft. Recommended for the DC xl but..its taller and would most likely not have enough air space to bounce back off of my trunk lid or…

Hey guys this is a great forum,usually I just look around and dont post but figured that I would join in. My first system was a kicker l7 and a kenwood amp probably pushing 4-500 rms. Now I am getting more into audio than ever....right now I have a FI Q 12 and just preordered a sundown sae1200, cant wait to hear what sound quality sounds like.

Hi Everyone !! It's been about 10 years or so since I've been in the Car Audio game. I used to run Fosgate and AVI stuff when I was younger ( I'm not old by any means) I moved to Home Theatre for the last while but I am now getting back to the Good Stuff I've met with 3 installers in my area, 1 of which I remember was around a long time ago. The vehicle is a Saturn Vue. We have decided on Focal/Audison setup with their Clarion DXZ945MP Unit to round it out. Either the Polyglass 6.5 Components or the K2P in the front along with an Access or Polyglas 13" in the rear custom boxed, all run by the Audison LRx 4.300.
