I’m old school by nature (class of ‘99 HS) and recently bought my stepson his first ride (2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo) and have been upgrading his stereo together recently for fun. Hey guys. You have a great forum here. I've been doing some reading recently on trying to figure out a sub for myself and there is a lot of in depth info. I'm not new to car audio I've been a hobbyist in it since 1992. Always looking for more power or speakers..lol. as I matured I finally learned the right way to do things and became very picky about my equipment purchases. I'm not so much into big boom anymore but still enjoy being able to raise the volume and turn some heads. Hi everybody! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from Quebec, Canada and I'm now the owner of a new MAW-15 subwoofer and I've got a couple of Q's for you! So thinking I can use this page for those...I'll post my principal question here...which is what would be a good budget amp to power this sub, keeping in mind that I might add another one later? I was thinking about a Hifonics BXi 1206D. Does it makes sense at all? And how much wRMS this subwoofer can take? I know it is rated at 500w, but will it handles something like 750w/RMS daily?
