Hey guys I just registered for this website and after reading the forum rules I found out that my first three posts are supposed to be in the "Newbie Sign In Area". Oops. Anyways, I was looking through the forum and I saw that there were many members from Mooresville. (Am I missing something? LOL) So... This is pretty much my official introduction post too.

HI guys, I have tried searching for this problem but can't find the answer so here I am. I had recently installed an amp (boss audio chaos rev455) to power my front door speakers and tweeters (power acoustik nb-4). I put the amp in the trunk, because it wouldnt fit under the front seats and ran the rca's and the speaker wire along the passenger side of the car and power wire and remote down the drivers side. When i start the car i get this quiet very fast intermitten noise out of the tweeters. The sound does not increase with rpms, or volume, it stays constant and cannot be heard in the door speakers. Hey I have to throw Jacob Fuller a huge thankyou for helping to save my arse at SBN. One of the 3000s i have had a leak in the operating smoke pod (and as we all know if the the smoke is allowed to escape from the amp it stops working... if you don't know, that smoke needs to stay on the inside, once it escapes yor amp will no longer work properly) and Jacob found a way to get me another one. I am looking at an eclipse cd8455 headunit or clarion drx9675z right now backed with rainbow slc 265.25 comps up front and cdt m6+ mid bass rears. I am still undecided on amps and speakers right now though and looking for input

What's up everyone? Just signed up and looking to get some insight on car audio after being out of the scene for a number of years. I currently have a Toyota FJ Cruiser with a Kenwood DNX8120 HU, Polk Audio SR6500 components, JL Audio co-axials for rear fill, 2-JL 10W3V3's in a Wicked C.A.S. enclosure, Dynamatted fron doors and rear quarters. I am anxiously awaiting the new Zed Leviathan for power.

I'm pretty new into the SPL world, and audio in general, so I'm not the smartest on the subject, but everyone has to start somewhere right? My first system was a cool concept. The box was built inside of the back seat. Sealed, had like .75 cubic ft of space. Was a Pioneer shallow mount 10". Blew that in a week. Went to a Memphis shallow mount 12", blew 7 of those and Memphis told me they wouldn't warranty them anymore. Then I went to a JL Audio 13tw5. Hi everyone, I am new to SSA, but been into car audio for years...anyone rember YAMAHA car audio......I now have a 17 year old son that has resurrected my interest and I have enjoyed helping him with his system, things have changed a lot in the years I have been away and the new technology is amazing....I rember when a 200 watt amp was considered huge and the price was around $600.. now you can get one for nothing....gotta love it!!!

Scott and Fi, I would just like to say thank you for all your time and help with my 3rd straight IASCA Bass Boxing World Championship. You are a great person Scott and Fi BTL's are the best sub I have ever owned. I will never run another sub. I have had 2 other companys offer me free sponsorships since SBN.
