Hey! I have been into car audio for about 15 years and have had various setups over the years. I am also a member on various other forums but haven't been on much for the past few years. I look forward to sharing builds and learning from some of the seasoned veterans. -Justin

Hello all. Joining in from the Tulsa area. Vehicle is a 1987 Chevy truck with an in-work system consisting of Hybrid Audio speakers and Tru amplifiers. Just getting started competing this year, but I'm the SQ game. However I'm toying with the idea of doing a blow through setup later this year, so we'll see where that takes me. Other than the audio, the truck has an aluminum headed 383 that I built last year. HP is ~500. Also got the trans rebuilt and the rear end is scheduled to be rebuilt in July. After that, I'll be taking it to the track for some fun on occasion. I'm also hoping to get into Hot Rod magazine's Drag Week this year which begins and ends in Tulsa.

Hey everyone just thought i would drop in and give a hello. I am new to the forums but not new to the game. I come from Minnesota so it's hard to find anyone who knows what FI really is. Just last year I bought a 15" Q and threw it in a 3.7 cft3, 32 hz tuned ported box and powered by a Crossfire 1000D @ 1 ohm. Really amazed at the SQ and how it can rape the lows. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and i am also looking for some nice 5.25 components.

I figured I would stop by again and check the forum out. Im trying to find information on repairing a 5.25 midrange tinsel lead. Its on a Kicker ss56.2 mid. I have the break located in a section that is under a wrap that holds lead to underside of cone. Any tips opinion or exp with a similar issue is appreciated

heyall, i'm mike from indiana, 33yrs. currently upgrading 05 honda civic system and i took some shortcuts that i know some would find repulsive. (like instead of removing door panel, i dremel cut out the grill to replace OEM door speaker)...stuff like that. though i have been on/off car audio some 18 years, still a lot of technical stuff i don't know. Found this place on google and looks like i could learn a lot here. please dont banish me for taking shortcuts. i don't have proper tools and knowlege to take apart these stupid modern japanese cars. Hi all, My name is Jack, and I'm 19 years old. I recently have been drawn back to the car audio scene. My old setup was a 180A alternator, two 12" Treo SSI with an old Mmats D200HC. I sold all this stuff back in 2008 and my alternator recently took a dump on me. It was a 180A alternator, and I sent it back and they quoted me $170 for the rebuild, or $270 to build it up to 200A. I don't know what to do, but more on this later as I'm rambling haha... I plan on running a new system, it will have three old 12" Punch HX2, all D4 ohms, so I'm looking at an amp that will do well at .75 ohms. Anyways...that's me! Glad to be here.

Hey everybody, My name is Milton and I currently a member of caraudio.com and SI.net. This board is small so it looks like it will be easier to make friends so I am down with it. I drive a 92 plymouth voyager. I plan to run an 15XXX someday when they are back in stock it's all good. I got my 2 12 infinities for now until they blow. Well, enough rambling, so what's up.

I am now new to these forums and I hope to learn more about car audio by being a member here. It also seems that there is a great deal of people here with much knowledge about the topic unlike other forums. I was referred to SoundSplinter by a friend who swore they were the best LSQ drivers. I will soon find out when I install them in my boy's car. I got into the car audio scene a year ago and have loved it ever since. As soon as I get my new amp I am planning on going to SPL drag's in the Beginner SPL Class and work my way up. Anyways, I am done with my introduction. -Airmack

I spent the whole day today surfing the forums and reading all the great information posted here, and I couldnt help but join. well, this is my first time on the site. i can honestly say, ive been searching for a good car audio forum and i finally found one. even though im young, ive been into car audio for a couple years now. im still trying to finish my audio install in my silverado. have 2 memphis mojo 10s, 2 tarantula trx1500ds, 2 memphis 8s for door panel subs. and a 600 soundstream capcell. all the audio will be in fiberglass enclosures. my 2 10s are in a custom fiberglass centerconsole that i built myself.
