hey guys im od sound and i heard about this forum on the car audio respek group on myspace! our current set up consists of a single 12" type r a power acoustik sl2-2000 amp its not much but it does just fine.

I was told that the audiopipe 1800 was to powerful for my alpe type r subs the are 1800 watts peak and 600 watts rms need help adjusting my amp so I don't blow then them any help helps thanks

heyall, i'm mike from indiana, 33yrs. currently upgrading 05 honda civic system and i took some shortcuts that i know some would find repulsive. (like instead of removing door panel, i dremel cut out the grill to replace OEM door speaker)...stuff like that. though i have been on/off car audio some 18 years, still a lot of technical stuff i don't know. Found this place on google and looks like i could learn a lot here. please dont banish me for taking shortcuts. i don't have proper tools and knowlege to take apart these stupid modern japanese cars. hey folks, just saying waddup. i'm just doing some research as i'm swapping out the crap speakers in my 2008 mazda3 hatch. so far i've put in focal 165ca1's in the rear doors that i'm running off the headunit. i have 165a1's for the front components that i was going to run off a us amps xt800.2 but have recently decided to put in an 8" sub that will fit into a stealth box in the tire jack compartment. so i'm just doing some research on which 8" sub to go with and looking for a 4-channel amp to power the sub and the front components. btw, if anyone is interested in buying a brand new in box us amps xt800.2 let me know.

Well I figured I'd go ahead and make an account..have been lurking for awhile now. I have a 98 GMC jimmy with 2 SA-15's and I just ordered 2 more 15's today. So I'll be starting a build log soon. I've already learned a lot from the forum and plan to continue learning as I go.

alright ive been pondering whether 2 get 2 15" re audio sx's or 2 15" fi bl's and im not sure which and would appreciate it if yall would help me with the decision. i no if i get the 2 fi's itll be a lil bit cheaper but i dont no which is gonna be more sq and which is gonna be louder for a daily setup thatll also get metered. the systems gonna be in a gmc sonoma ext. cab
