Hi, all. Jntar over at caraudio.com invited me here... so here I am. I have been dicking around with car audio since the early 1980s... currently, I have a 1992 Vette with an Alpine 7998 hu, JL Audio 500/5 amp, Canton RS3 front stage, JL Audio 10W3V2, no rear fill. Some of you may know me from the www.corvetteforum.com, where I am the keeper of the C4 (1984-1996 Corvettes) Audio FAQ and the mod of audio stuff over at www.domesticmisfits.com (feels like I am writing a resume!). Just looking for some more audio info... I am a pure audiophile. I don't want bling, I want sound. SQ is where it's at for me!

Hey guys! New member from Indianapolis. I came here, like a lot of newbies, to read comparisons and opinions on different subs. After my first post (missed this part of the site) I decided that instead of asking which would be best why not learn the ins and outs of a subwoofer and what all of the specs actually mean. I have really picked up a lot from this site, it is my favorite audio site by far.

Hello everyone, newbie here. I am 25 and from IL. I have been in car audio since I was 16. My first set up was 2-10" kicker comps with a punch 40 and an eclipse deck, not sure the model now. I have been looking at the d2's as I have seen them at comps, so I thought I would join, since I have been reading the forum anyway. Roger. so another member.

Just signed up for the forum so I figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Shaun and I compete in DB Drag in StreetMax 1-2. I have a 93 Caravan with two T3 Audio TSNS 18s, but I am currently looking for new amps. I am an installer and have been doing so for about 12 years now. What is up everyone. I am obviously (post count) new to this forum. One of my friends suggested that I join an audio form to find the perfect set up, and that makes sense. I have had the following set ups Car 96 Dodge Intrepid Two 12 inch dual subs (500 watts each, with 750 watt dual amp)---blew the amp due to stupidity Two 15 inch razors subs (1000watts each, with 750 watt razor amp) blew one sub, and came to the point where this system is not loud enough for me Three 12 inch kicker CVR (can not remember the watts to those things, but everyone knows them anyways, with a kenwood 1800 watt amp) Two 12 inch zstat subs a knockoff of the 15in razors above (i think they were …

hey guys i'am new to the forum but i'am glad o found it, i own a 94 toyota supra and is looking to upgrade the music in it. i'am very undecided when it come to speaker choice so can you guys give me some feed back on some of the speakers you guys use. i have some in mind but would like to know what you guys think, i like the o2 audio or arc audio. if you guys think you found better speakers than these let me know, name brand not important because i know that some no name stuff sound better than name brand stuff.

New to the site from Oregon. Recently bought a work car, It had an amp (infinty reference) and subs(12" alpines) in it already. I had no idea bass could be so much fun . As a 45 yr old late bloomer I'm hoping to learn a litte to feed my latest obsession.

Hi all, My name is Jack, and I'm 19 years old. I recently have been drawn back to the car audio scene. My old setup was a 180A alternator, two 12" Treo SSI with an old Mmats D200HC. I sold all this stuff back in 2008 and my alternator recently took a dump on me. It was a 180A alternator, and I sent it back and they quoted me $170 for the rebuild, or $270 to build it up to 200A. I don't know what to do, but more on this later as I'm rambling haha... I plan on running a new system, it will have three old 12" Punch HX2, all D4 ohms, so I'm looking at an amp that will do well at .75 ohms. Anyways...that's me! Glad to be here.

Yep...Santa did it this year: 2 x 18 Fi Bl -Dual 1, Cooling, Flatwind, Daily, Non-universal. Sundown Saz-3000d (thanks acex3a) 180max/135idle Iraggi alternator ~40' of 1/0 welding wire still need to get some 1/0 battery terminals and clamps for 1/0 big three and a new battery under the hood. dunno if I want to tackle the box this time around, might just have a shop do it. planning on doing ~15 cubes after displacement, and tuned to 32 or 33 hz. I know nothing about sound acoustics, and the effects of internal design. so plain jane rectangle is gonna have to jive for now.
