Hey all! I'm glad to be apart of this forum! I am looking to get a new sub woofer. I had a 15" Kicker L5 that died on me. I am looking at the Fi Q but wanted a little advice first. I am looking for a good SQ sub and I ahve heard that the Fi Q is a good one. It will be powered by ZX750.1 which from what I read is a little underrated. The fact that it fried my L5 which is rated at 750w RMS also leads me to believe either the sub was over rated or the amp is under rated. The amp is hooked straight to the battery via a Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge kit. I currently have a cheap auto-zone battery but I will be upgrading to an Optima Yellow top soon. The vehicle is a Chevrolet Taho…

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself here. I'm moving over to this forum from CA.com cause I feel like that website is falling apart a little. But I recently put together my first system consisting of the stuff in my sig and I'm real happy with the results.

Hi all. Another new guy here. Been lurking for a while and finally decided to introduce myself. I'm Dan from east central Kansas. I was into car audio in high school and for a few years after, but got out of it about 5 years ago. Somehow I came across ***** *****'s videos on Youtube and got bit by the bug once again. Looking to build a small system for a 2000 Dodge Dakota Ext. Cab since I've only got one payment left on it (yes!). Very intrigued by the non-mainstream brands that have come out since I've been out of the scene and I'm having a hell of a time deciding what to get. That's about it. I'm a pretty boring person. Dan

Hi all! Thanks for having me! My name is Brandon and I drive a '94 F-150 I've always been into car audio but its always been major brands like Kicker and Alpine. I finally decided to get some SA-8s. I got a good deal on a new set on V1s. I have 2 Sa-8 V1s. The box I am using is a Ground Shaker SPQ28 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_62689_Ground-Shaker-SQP-2-8.html. My amplifier is a Hifonics HFI1500 @ 2 ohm. They are brand new and have about 3-5 hours of play time on them. On some songs there is what sounds like a mechanical sound. Like its slapping inside of itself. Also the dust cap gets a pretty warm. I want to eventually rewire them down to 1 ohm but i want to ma…

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hi and I'm glad to be a part of the community. I am from Louisville, KY. Are there many people from my area on the site? I came to this site because I am looking for a set of 12"s. Digital Designs 9512s Cascade Omegas Audio Pulse Axis FI BTLs I would also be interested in any other subs that you all think would handle between 2000 - 2500rms a piece. They need to be either D1s or D4s so I can wire them to 1 ohm to run off my Z1A. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I look forward to meeting everyone!

I've been into car audio for a year and a half and i have alot of people fooled with what i do know for being into it for such a short period of time. for starters i drive a 2000 oldsmobile alero. for a deck i have a Pioneer Premier DEX-P1R, Some VR3's in the back deck... (you'll know why i went so cheap in a minute....). and a Memphis EQ50 in the dash. for the bass i have a 15" Pioneer Premier TS-W8102SPL in a crappy 2.75 cu.ft' box, (my 12th box but first 15") i redid the calculations and it's about 67 hz. lol. but regardless with the box falling apart and the car built the day before comp i hit a 139.1 at the dash (termpro) i've since built a new box thats 1.5" MDF …

Hey everyone... been into car stereos since i was about 17, am now 22, be 23 in april. worked at the circuit city roadshop when i was 18, learned how to do the basic installs and alarms. never got into custom stuff, but have done fairly large system installs in my day. I drive a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 2wd regular cab automatic, I have done everything myself, notched the frame, raised the gas tank, lowered, welded the roll pan, tailgate handle, antenna, hood squirters, put a 2004 front clip on(core support, everything), painted the truck myself also, it was my first time doing all of this. Ive had a handful of stereos in it back when i was younger, bought the truck with 2 mtx…

I'm a 29 year old autobody guy who dabbles in car audio because, hey, i build cars for a living! Not into competing, and was out of the loop for a good chunk of time (i was very into audio back in my HS days) so i'm getting used to the inexpense of massive power, and plethora of drivers to choose from. Currently trying to finish up my system in my 2002 outback daily driver. Debating on sub, because i want to keep things limited in size, because i carry stuff in the back a lot. Also finishing up two classics that are mine, and thus i'm putting sound systems into, though one i intend to just sell, so it's not getting anything great, just the mistake of a purhcase RE USX…
