Sniper reporting in. I've been into audio for quite a long time, I've always loved bass, until about 2 years ago I didnt know there were competitions, I thought I knew it all. but boy, I couldnt have been more wrong. I've learned so much in these past 2 years its unreal, I've been very fascinated with horn loaded boxes, I sketch em out on paper all the time. anyway, system wise what i've had : I started out with a Lightning Audio P4.10.4, it was an alright woofer, nothing like "ZOMG I HAD TO BE HITTING ATLEAST 4000 DEEBEEZ" or stupid shit like that, it was good for music extension, not like I was trying to set off car alarms or something. after that, I migrated to the Lig…

actually the suburbs of Detroit, but anyway. I found this site and have picked up a lot of good info. I used to be pretty big into the mobile audio seen some years ago. I worked for an audio engineering and consulting firm starting my senior year in HS and learned a lot about audio, way more than most people even want to know about. I've chose to forget a lot of it myself lol Anyway, I've always been into audio systems but as I've grown up some I just haven't had the time to stay devoted. But along comes a new vehicle, and it is time for me to start things off again. This is a great site, and so far everyone has been very great and welcoming, glad to be here. John

Hi there, I am 17 and do know some about car audio, as I do mod cars. I currently owna 2000 cavalier. I have had 2 systems, and just not yet satisfied with either of them. I am looking for a subwoofer than can handle my Lanzar Vibe 1000 Watt Max amp. I was looking at a FI BL, but i am afraid of clipping. What about a JLW6, they are 400 RMS, right? so i risk blowing it with too much power. What do you recommend me for awesome bass, that i will be satisfied with, without breaking the bank. Thanks!

New to the forums and back into researching car audio. Happy Black Friday everyone hope y'all save some good money, I know I did. Just purchased a loaded Fi Q 12. Had to start researching about subs again because my old sub finally died. Was an Audiobahn AWT12X tuned to 30hz. Bought in 2001, finally died in 2011 earlier this year. Bought a few subs after that but just wasn't happy with any of them the way I was with the AWT12X, it was a monster sub that lasted a looooooong time and definitely got my $'s worth. I know this Fi Q tuned to 32hz will be just like it or better! 2001 - Audiobahn AWT12X @ 30hz (died 2011 punishing lows when I used to listen to a lot of Scr…

Long story short i made a thread on a local forum (hawaiicaraudio.net) and it was about my 12" si mag v3. Someone mentioned a ssa xcon and them being great """SQL""" subs, compareable to my mag in many ways they said. That was enough for me to want to join this forum, ive actually browsed on here before, read up on a few different sundown topics (x-8 which im excited for). From what ive seen, this seems like another great forum So yea...WHAT UP GUYS!

I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I was really into car audio about 15 years ago, but a wife and kids pulled me away. I have recently got the itch again, and I have been reading everything I can to catch up on what has been going on. This forum has been a big help so far, and I'm sure it will continue to be in the future. Thanks, and glad to be here.

Hey everyone, new guy here from NJ. I've been lurking around here for the past couple of days reading through a wealth of information that is available here. Working on a new system for my '99 F150 extended cab. So far I have: Pioneer Avic D3 DLS M6 components (old magnesium ones) Zapco 750.2 (possibly for a sub amp) KnuKonceptz 1/0 wiring Second Skin Damplifier for doors waiting on delivery. I've been surfing around looking for a new amp for my front components and a new sub.
