Hello all my name is Kevin, my nickname is Zeus, i used to comepete car audio about 11 years ago in an association called meca, back then my thing was low wattage(under 300 watts) and single driver setups...My woofers used were 1 earthquake ls 18, and my amp of choice were a us amps 50 in (0-200 consumer class) 2 earthquake ls 18's & 1 us-amps vlx-25(killer wattage but rated low as h*ll), Now its 2011, went through a marriage, went through a divorce, had a son(greatest gift i have ever been allowed to have + joint custody), bought a house, got a dog, bought and sold many many vehicles, started dating my ex-wife again(not getting re-married until 2031), and finally fo…

I'll admit that i'm really armature with the whole topic of systems but i've joined the board to watch & learn and one day become as knowledgeable as some of you are. I've always loved loud music but never really took systems seriously until now. I just bought a car this past week, a '94 Ford Probe, and the first thing on my to do list is get some boom in there!

Hello just wanted to say hi to everyone in here im new to this place and i got a project truck that im fixing up just for the love of it. Its a Jeep Grand Cherokee lol yeah i know its not just for mudding . But i just sold my cvxs 15 i had and decided to get 2 Fi BTL18 for the new system and im a hifonics amp guy any help or good power i see that its 2000rms so i will need a good 2 amps power well any help would be good thank you all..

Yeah, kinda forgot to introduce myself before posting but hi all. I've seen a lot of car audio people from many diff websites come here, so I figured I'd join up. I have a decent knowledge of subs and electronics and all that but I always try to learn more and end up confusing my self, hah. But yeah whats up?

just wanted to introduce myself somewhat to everyone on this forum. i'd normally be on CSO but since that is down i needed a new place to lurk and well it seems like this would be a good place. a few members here i recognize and most i don't. i'm not a big poster so i usualy only post on things i feel i could try to help people with and what not. yeah so well back to my lurking!

My wife drives a 2003 Honda Accord V6 sedan. She has a 300 watts RMS at 2 ohm on the 5 channel amp and wants a sub. I was on DIYMA and someone suggested I look into the 12" SSA DCON. I read the specs and did some searching. The price fit our budget but my question is...how will this sound with 300 watts at 2 ohm in a sealed for example 1.0 to 1.20 cubic ft sealed box? I read that people prefer the ported box but I am looking for something sealed but I am open for suggestions. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and new to car audio. I recently purchased a 100.2 amp and 10"sub from Jacob at Sundown, I guess this is my first real amp and sub, before that I had a 200 watt bazooka tube hooked up to a Kole 2 channel amp. It was ok I guess for my hatchback. I like music and listen to almost everything, lately I been listening to allot of Latin Jazz but I also love to listen to instrumental metal rock, and I really like music that mixes up a little bit of everything in like highs for the speakers and lows for my sub. So I guess thats it for now. just a little bit about my self. thanks for reading.

I found this site while researching the effects of impedance rise. I am working on building a system and trying to learn at the same time. I am buying a HDC3 15, my box is 4.5 cubes tuned to 38 hertz, kerfed port with 74.25 inches of port. I have a Hifonics 2010D amp 1/0 gage wire (double runs). Still have a ways to go, but like i said trying to learn.

Hi all, member on CA.com and admin for Mobileaudioforum.com. Always looking for more places to hang out and don't mind being put in my place from time to time. I'm also an active-duty sailor and more what you would consider a "SQeer" as we've coined it on MAF, but I don't mind getting loud from time to time.
