Just curious how you guys (and girls) cover your subs when leaving your vehicle for the night. I need a new ideal and I'm sure I'm not the only one getting bitched at by the wife for stealing a bed sheet to cover my subs at night. Wish my truck had a trunk to hide them in.

Yeah I just recently got registered and see that there is a wealth of knowledge to be had and can be very useful in picking/designing a sub etc. This is not the first site I registered at, of course. =P Many before.

Hi there. Just joined you all the way from a rather cold England. My name is Erskine and I have a very strong working interest in Bass Box Designs, anyway I have just been given two nice new Magnum D2's which I shall be putting into one of my tried and tested Three Chamber Internally Ported Reflex Boxes. As the D2's are two ohm per coil, have previous owners got a preference for the wiring options. Both coils in series or parallel and then both speakers in either series or parallel. I will be using a Genesis Monobloc rated at 1650wrms [1200wrms with my current electrical set-up] into one ohm and I am more of an SQ guy rather than out and out SPL. Just interested to hear …

I am going to put it in competition for spl. I will be pushing it with the US Amp AX2000 which is 2 ohm stable. Part or my problem is I am in alaska and the car audio places here built boxes but no to what i want so i will need help with that also. I was think about just doin 2 BL 12 but I don't know if I w…

Hello, So let me just get this out of the way; For the gramer nazis, this will be my one and only apology. I know my spelling is bad. Matter of fact I've made 4 smart phones dumb with how bad it is... Im so sorry!! Anyway's I have 2 vehicle's that are in desperate need of new audio equipment. I have a 99 Toyota Camry and 01 Toyota Tacoma extended cab. Both have totally stock audio equipment. Both head units are stock tape/cd dubble dins. Im limited to use of the FM stations. on the camery I'm pretty sure all but one of the speakers are blown . So my plan is to find a setup that works well, that I can pretty much duplicate to some extent.…

I need some suggestions on what subs to wall up in my 2001 2dr S-10 Blazer. This will be my first real build the only thing I have had that was "loud" was 2 15" Kicker L7s dual 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm by a 2000 watt hifonics brutus (The only competition I was ever apart of I got 3rd place with this system in 2008 at milan dragway in michigan at some street warriors 2000+ watts class I wasnt even going to enter. I got a trophy for it.) . This was 4 years ago. I have not since then had a system in my ride and have now FINALLY decided to get back into the car audio world and will be trying to go "Big" this time. I want to keep my back seats folded down and or maybe take th…

Hello everybody, I'm Jarrett from Lafayette La, just thought I would introduce myself. My first car was a 1999 mitsubishi mirage. I put 2 Orion HCCA 10.4s in a custom ported box with an Orion D5000. The D5000 stopped working so I bought 2 cheap Sound Storm amps to replace it. When I started college I sold this setup for $900 Now I drive a 1988 Toyota pickup. I Had an Fi Q 18 in a sealed 5 cu ft box with a US amps MD1D. I traded this setup for these wheels and a spare tire. I enjoy wheeling this truck through the mud as much as I enjoy my bass. My next plans are to put a 10 in a ported box with enough room to fit my tools and my air compressor and 1.5 gal tank behind th…

I found this site through DevilDriver on S10Forum. I'm pretty active over there, especially in the car audio/security section of the forum. I know a good deal about what's going on in the audio world. I also work at circuit city installing in the roadshop. (Keep in mind that I didn't say "i'm the best installer in the world because I work in CC's roadshop". I know that Kicker isn't be-all-end-all of car audio...heh. I know what T/S parameters mean and how they work, I know how to properly build and tune a ported box, and I know how to set up a good soundstage. I am also an electrical engineering student at Rowan University.) I just wanted to join an audio forum fre…

Hello, I have a SAZ1500v3 and I'm curious to hear some opinions/thoughts on the clipping light that's on the bass knob. Do you guys absolutely make sure that your light doesn't flicker what so ever...or will a small amount of flickering not be anything to worry about? My current frustrations are all revolved around this. I feel like my clipping signal is somewhat premature. I drive a 2013 optima SX. Stock HU/alternator/battery under the hood. I have a Stinger battery in trunk. 0g wiring. 1 dual 2 ohm 12" Fi BL running off the SAZ1500v3 wired at 1ohm in a ported Khaotik enclosure. (I'm aware that I sound like a total noob right now). The shop that installed everything al…
