So I joined like around a month ago because I got tired of this other forum so I decided to join here. Everyone is so polite and kind here . Just to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Matthew and I live in Memphis Tennessee. I started really getting into car audio about one year ago and fall more in love with it everyday. There was a guy named Sid who owned a car stereo store, and he came by to show off his new install in his 76 or 77 Monte Carlo. It was a typical installer's car... New guy here, Names Chase, I drive a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS GG. Currently I do not have a system anymore, had 2x Kenwood KFC balh blah blahs in there with a 1000w Kenwood amp. I'm looking for some deals for a new system. I come here with around 1k to spend to put in there. If you guys know of anything let me know. Preferably 2 15"s but my trunks a lil small But i could make it work.

Right now i have 2 audiopipe apsm 1500 on two sa 12s i will be gettin 2 more sa's so my question is what will be the best amp to.run all 4 so i can have just one amp to power my subs

What is up everyone. I am obviously (post count) new to this forum. One of my friends suggested that I join an audio form to find the perfect set up, and that makes sense. I have had the following set ups Car 96 Dodge Intrepid Two 12 inch dual subs (500 watts each, with 750 watt dual amp)---blew the amp due to stupidity Two 15 inch razors subs (1000watts each, with 750 watt razor amp) blew one sub, and came to the point where this system is not loud enough for me Three 12 inch kicker CVR (can not remember the watts to those things, but everyone knows them anyways, with a kenwood 1800 watt amp) Two 12 inch zstat subs a knockoff of the 15in razors above (i think they were …

Whats up y'all? I found this site in my search for info. on Fi subs. I liked what I saw as far as people helping out more than on other forums. I'm putting together a 1998 Nissan Maxima. Planning on doing a SQ(L) set-up. Only thing I have bought so far is a set of CDT HD-62/M6 components, but I'm not in any rush since my car should be in the body shop for a couple more months.

hows it goin ereybody i have put in plenty of systems in my frineds and my rides but i recently had to start over again that being said im currently running a 07 cvr 12 d4 and a re audio dts 1000-1 for power i have noticed a rattling in my speaker and decided to shop for a new one when i came across the fact that FI has affordable and rebuildable subs i have never heard any of these but am seriously thinkin about takin the next step and going to a better speaker such as the FI bl3 12 or an obsidian audio 12 just would like some more info on these if anybody has any input id love to hear it

i have 1 15 inch ascendant audio havoc....it dosent have much play on it.the basket is broke on it and it seems to be over heating.i hit a 143.1 on a term lab though ,even broke..the question is ....a friend of mine just offer me 300$ cash for it even though it is broke.if i do sell 300$ is all i have to spend on a new sub....should i sell...recone and get the basket fixed?if i do sell i was looking at a ssa icon 18 or 15 ....same rms but will it be just as loud or louder......any suggestions for subs ....they are going into a trunk of a grand prix....just scared that its going to pop due to the basket being broke and it over heating.

3/4 sI have mechman elite 370a. Fuses ? running 3 lines ones of 2/0 to back xs d3100 fuses? To crescendo bc 6k I'm gonna double up each power and ground need to know its bugging me crescendo says 250a fuse per power line so it would be 6 250a fuses total between back battery going to the amp anybody know ????? Thank you in advance !!! All 2/0 copper welding cable heavy 450a 600v ratings front to back !!!! And do you think 2 skar vxf 12 can handle that 3/4s of that power lol

I am curious to know how many watts would be concidered enough in a "daily driver"? I know that the threshold of pain (in the ear) is around 120db's. What kind of watts are needed to acheive that. I have been around the car audio realm for the better part of 15 years but it has always been a "bigger is louder is better" way of thinking. I never really looked into the science of sound and why it all works. I am learning a great deal from this site. My very first system was an 18 inch cerwin vega powered by a 400 watt california profile amp and a kenwood tape deck. I was thinking about getting 2 BTL 15's, i already have 2 2400 kinetiks, 2 h/o alts, and 2 ma audio 4000D's. I want to know do u think that would be a good set up, should i change the amps or what. Also which would would be better between the 15's and 18's, and how should i get them loaded for daily use.

i'm in iraq and have quite a nice lump sum of money saved up. i just bought a jeep for a system cuz ive messed around with car audio for a few years now. im throwing around a few options, out of all these what would hit the hardest. this system will be proffesionally installed and i think im gonna buy a hifonics 10,000 watt rms amp. unless i go jl....id probably have to go with the 1000/1's. 2 solo x kicker 18's 4 Fi btl 18's 2 jl audio 13' w'7's
