Yup, another squid... but a damn good looking one. I just bought an '05 4Runner and am halfway through a helluva quality budget build. Scion T1809 HU, MB Quart components/coaxials... and looking for a budget monster 8" sub. I've pretty much decided on a RL-i8 at around .4cuft, but am also looking at an Orphan8... $50 is $50 after all. I was trying to keep the whole thing under $500... and was there with a used Cadence amp and an Alpine 10R... but then I got to looking at how big I was going to need to build a box and it was just too much. been here for a little bit, but just found this topic, so here is my unofficial "first" post! im driving a 2005 suzuki forenza, with stock battery, alt and ground wires (for now) running two rockford fosgate P3s in a ported box. a hifonics 1208D mono amp, with 4 awg wire. i just ordered a refurbished saz1500D from Db-r.com to start my new build. I'm working with Quentin at audible customs to build my box for the fully loaded Fi Bl 15" that will soon be ordered. along with that a Kicker 1/0awg wire kit. hope to get somewhere close to the numbers i have seen this sub push, if i can ever find a meter or a comp. way up here in nowhereville to actually test this stuff

Hey all. I am quite new to the world of car audio and its already completely addicting. I found my way to this forum/site thanks to the guys at caraudio. They recommended a 187 series Sub. I plan on ordering a 10 or 12 incher for my new system. I'm running a 5350A Reference amp from infinity. I have 300RMS at 2ohms. Can anyone suggest which would be better, a 10 or 12? Thank you very much. The reason im getting a 187 is i only have around 100 bucks to spend.

Whats up everyone! Im an Arizona kid here goin to be turning 21 soon. Just recently bought 2 15in BL's for my hyundai sonata and i have a few questions about it buuuuut I will post that in another section =) I know quite a bit about car audio and learned it all myself from reading and doing Im guessing that most if not all people here do their own work, so I should be able to learn even more from everyone.

hey i'm new here to the forums I discovered this website while on youtube and i doubt i'll ever leave. There so much information floating around on this website its amazing compared to most car audio sites where you have to sort though like 20 topics to find something decent. Anyway right now im just running a very basic setup which is a Alpine 9984 hu, 2 Kicker CVR 10's on a Rockford Fosgate 600watt amp, and some Pioneer door speakers in my 98' F150 extended cab. But soon i'm hoping to upgrade to hopefully a icon 15 with a sundown 1000d amp (the package on the ssa store website) anyway i just wanted to say hi to all!

Ported 3.25-4.25 ft^3 @ 29-33hz Ported Optimal 4.25-5.5 ft^3 @ 29-33hz is the optimal ported better? and whats the difference on both? any help would be appreciated

so i've been running my system for a while (since 04 i think) and now my 'new' gear has become 'old' and in need of a reup. im running 2 12" cerwin vega v-max 2ohm dvc's. both on a 2 channel audiobahn (i told you it was old) amp rack series. according to the amp specs, it was running 500 watts rms per channel. i've done the big 3 upgrade and im using 0 guage power wire kit from directed. so far the only thing thats staying is the power wire. im going to use one MTX TA91002 amp for my new set up. i got it cause i couldnt pass up the great price it was going for. btw, im on a $800 budget, and my new amp just used up $200 of it. i need help deciding on what subs to use with…
