DC Power Engineering

vehicle: 1997 jeep wrangler 4.0L straight six So alt has been installed and working wonderfully, now I'm adding the resistor to the stock wiring to get rid of the check engine light. Here's the stock wiring "In your picture, "A" is the original B+, C is ground, and B1 & B2 is the field connections for the stock alternator" Now I've put the resistor between the field connections as shown below: and my check engine light still comes on, Is this because the stock +12v/B+ and ground aren't connected? Did I install the resistor incorrectly? I also checked the resistor with a dmm and it's not faulty. Any ideas? Thank you - Stefan

The stock is a 4pin while the new one is only a 2pin? hey whats up guys, ok so im deciding on ordering an alt soon because im going to bump up to 2k watts and wont happen on a stock 70a alt. so my question is mostly for rob or kyle. If i were to order your biggest alt for an 05 civic which is the 180hp does it come with everything i need to install it and get it running? Iv seen some people having to get brackets ordered for their trucks and cars but will this be my case? I have no idea what i will need or wont need so any info on this would really help my decision. If it doesnt come with everything i need to get it running then what will i need? Thanks guys

  10. We've only been waiting for it since January, and this is just our "loaner" machine until the one we ordered is done.. This one is 15hp, has a 350 amp load bank, and will do dyno sheets with everything we ship after we get it all set up.. The machine we are having built has a 20hp motor and a 580 amp load bank for some of the bigger alternators we build, but this one will do for now.. Not that there's anything wrong with a $50k "loaner"..

I was wondering if you make a dual kit for this car. I have the 3.4l. Iraggi did it and I was going to order from him, but he's MIA. So I know it's possible. Let me know what you got or what you think about this.

I have a Jeep Cherokee that the A/C compressor has locked up on. So I have decided to put an alternator in its place. What do you have that will put out around 15v's and close to 275 amps? Also do you have the adapter to the alternator in that spot?

I apologize if this has been answered. I did a search and didnt exactly find the answer im looking for. What is the differences here? For my specific vehicle (1997 chev tahoe 5.7) there is the 270 XP and 270 SP, only difference i see is 10 amps at idle difference, with about a $50 difference in price. Can anyone clarify this for me please?

an alternator for this vehicle isn't listed on the site. Can it be done? Has it been done? Thinking of buying one but want to be able to put the system I want in it so the alternator is a must. Any info is appreciated. I can't seem to find anything anywhere of quality.

I need some help here, I picked up a DC Power 250 (I'm guessing a sp model). I was told it was for a 2005 Ford Explorer V6. I want to install it on my 1996 Ford Bronco. My problem is that my factory alternator (95 amp 3G) has a 3 prongs on the regulator with another single prong plug right next to it. This new alternator has 4 prongs on the regulator and the pigtail I have with it goes from 4 into 2 prongs. Sorry if that's hard to understand, here are some pics of what I'm talking about: the 2 prong plug coming off the DC alt this end plugs into the DC alt DC alt in factory alt in factory plugs What do I need to get this thing to work?

I was browsing your site and saw that past 2006 you only have alternators listed for the Escalade. Is there anything available for the DTS? I'm going to be adding a lot more power to my system in the next few months and will need an electrical to back it up.

Hey probally just spitting in the wind with this question but figured yall could have some idea or thought. Im picking up a 1992 volvo 240 wagon and im a big power hungry type person and need a nice beefy alt that can perform well and pump over 100amps of charging power My problem is YOU CANT FIND ANY alt's over 100AMPS of power that fit onto the mounting spot, any type of alt anybody knows of that would fit or someone that could custom make something to fit my application. Gave up on the sedan and just put a bosch 100amp in it, worked ok just enough amperage for my needs atm. Would really appreciate your input on this foreign car issue.
