We've only been waiting for it since January, and this is just our "loaner" machine until the one we ordered is done.. This one is 15hp, has a 350 amp load bank, and will do dyno sheets with everything we ship after we get it all set up.. The machine we are having built has a 20hp motor and a 580 amp load bank for some of the bigger alternators we build, but this one will do for now.. Not that there's anything wrong with a $50k "loaner"..

Okay so I ordered and installed the dual alternator kit on my 2008 tahoe. The install only took about 2 hours which wasn't bad. ***THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED WITH THE KIT ANYWHERE*** I did call the number and got some limited assistance. The person I talked to, Stan helped the best he could but gave me no 100% sure answers... so I'm left with some questions. vehicle: 1997 jeep wrangler 4.0L straight six So alt has been installed and working wonderfully, now I'm adding the resistor to the stock wiring to get rid of the check engine light. Here's the stock wiring "In your picture, "A" is the original B+, C is ground, and B1 & B2 is the field connections for the stock alternator" Now I've put the resistor between the field connections as shown below: and my check engine light still comes on, Is this because the stock +12v/B+ and ground aren't connected? Did I install the resistor incorrectly? I also checked the resistor with a dmm and it's not faulty. Any ideas? Thank you - Stefan

I got a 270xp series alt for a 1997 I6 4.0L jeep wrangler a few months ago. I wanted to know what other vehicles and years it would fit on? I'm looking to get a new car and likely better off selling the alt and buying a new one then sending it in for a new case. Car is still undecided, likely scion tc or volvo v70 Thanks

I got these two items in the dual kit for the dodge 6.7 diesel but with no instructions so before i mess anything up i wanted to get some advice with it, first i got this little module that plugs into my stock harness it has a blue and black wire , then i have the harness that connects to the alts and has a relay. at the side that conects to the alts theres a blue and red wire and at the relay theres a red and white. Also just a shot in the dark but would you happen to have any pic of the kit installed. I got the writen instrustion but a pic of out its suppose to look might help me put this thing togerther faster. let me know Thanks,

Is there any reason the 2009 Nissan Frontier 2.5L I4 QR25DE 250/270 amp alts wont work on a 2010 I4 QR25DE Frontier? Was just wondering cause you have it for the 09 but you only have the 4.0L Alt listed for the 2010 model.

Do you guys make hi-output alternators for 07 Suzuki Reno? If so how much would the cost be? and what size would you recommend. Im only running two amps kicker zx1000.1 (100amp fuse) and a Eclipse EA4200 (30amp fuse). Thanks

i might be getting a 2005 ford ranger 4.0 and i want to make sure i can get a high output alt for it before i do buy it, on DC's website it doesn't even have a listing for a 05 ranger but i figured i would ask you guys here if there are any options, preferably a DC alt, im looking for the highest amperage i can get, which going by there normal alts would be like 250-270 amps. thanks guys!

hey whats up DC, i was just checking back to see if you guys were going to make that xp alternator for a 05 honda civic 1.7L, i know i asked you guys a few months ago about the 180hp and you mentioned something about an xp in the future, was just seeing if you had any plans for this in the near future or not.

got a 380 amp alt form kyle within the last few weeks and have been nothing but impressed with this company. very honest and great customer service. these guys are the real deal. had an issue with my wiring. took care of it no questions asked. definately looking into replacing my mechman with a dc unit. cant wait to get my install in and let this beast do its job. pics can be found in the link.
