Mechman High Output Alternators

I posted this elsewhere and was told by many that Mechman is the place that I would find the best answer. I typically would not ask another company for advice concernering some company's product but since I can't get an an answer from them... why not... I have some questions concerning a high output alternator and figured there's no better place on the internet to find a good answer to my problem. im having problems with the alternator i bought from you guys......its a 220a alt for a 91 civic..... ok well when i first installed the alt, it had a whining noise to it... sounded like a s/c spoolin up after about 3k rpms... and the whining got louder...so loud it was louder than my turbo (no it wasnt the belt squealing lol).... well the alt finally died and stopped charging.....so i sent it back to you guys to repair.... well when i got it back and installed it... it was still making the same whining noise....but atleast charging..... well after about a month now it died again....doesnt charge at all......i was wondering if i could send this back to you again and have …

Up until I sold my Crown Victoria I personally ran one of these units in my daily driver, total reliability and incredible performance all the time.

I saw that mechman offers a alternator for the rsx type-s, my question is will that alternator fit on the base type rsx? I don't see why it wouldn't because they have basically the same exact engine in them. Thanks.

So we installed my 350 SMD with external regulator on my Sierra. When not using the factory harness, I have a message on my instrument cluster saying "battery not charging". Ok understandable, the CPU is not seeing the signal, so we called and emailed Matt. He told us about the jumper to run (the L terminal I believe) but that didn't clear the message. ON TOP of this, the build was done, so I went to drive it home from my buddys shop and had a low brake pedal. Pulling out to the first stop sign, I now have a "service brake booster" light on my instrument cluster. MechMan, is amazing... I've been in contact with them for almost a year now(insane)... I have been looking into an alternator for a long time and didn't have the money, when I did I ordered a DC Power but then got into some money issues and they refunded my money which was an amazing thing... Because of this I was able to read more about the other companies, Singer and MechMan... I felt most comfortable with them and then they became a vendor here which made everything much sweeter... So, I was given the okay by my current lady and she also might have funded this item as well... So on the way to my house is a 270a alternator, courtesy of MechMan.!!!!

Last weekend the Mechman Jeep had to pull a full-size Blazer up a muddy obstacle. I purchased a closeout 260 amp alt from mechman today. Even though Matt said he was out of office. To work while your on a vacation is commitment and I commend him for that. I hope to be very pleased with this product and pray it solves my voltage problem.
