MechMan, is amazing... I've been in contact with them for almost a year now(insane)... I have been looking into an alternator for a long time and didn't have the money, when I did I ordered a DC Power but then got into some money issues and they refunded my money which was an amazing thing... Because of this I was able to read more about the other companies, Singer and MechMan... I felt most comfortable with them and then they became a vendor here which made everything much sweeter... So, I was given the okay by my current lady and she also might have funded this item as well... So on the way to my house is a 270a alternator, courtesy of MechMan.!!!!

I have a 270a Mechman that I purchased this spring. Not a month after I bought it it had charging issues and was repaired under warranty. Well now I have another problem and not sure where the problem is. My system is NOT installed right now and hasn't been since the repair of this alt. I have two 3yr old Redtops under the hood now. The batteries rest at 12.6 with the truck off and hold that way. When the truck truck is at idle my voltage is at 12.9. As all. As I give throttle is goes to 13.6 but doesn't go higher. When I come to a red light it's back at 12.8-13.0. Again No radio at all. I'm thinking it has to be the alt again but I have two new xs3400's that could go in …

I have a 260amp mechman alternator, and I just got it back from sending it in for repair. The alternator has never charged right from the first day I got it, and I thought maybe after it was warranty repaired it would charge at the correct voltage. Nope after a month of waiting, it charges at around 14.0 from 800rpms-1500rpms. 14.1-14.2 from 1600-up. It's supposed to be 14.4 at idle, but it little rally puts out nothing at anything under 800rpms, which my truck kinda varies from 500-800 for idle. The batteries are fine cause they sit at 13.3, and all my belts are tight. The pulley is already probably the smallest they can fit on this alt, so it's not that. My voltage even…

Just some pictures of my alternator for my 2009 Ford Escape that Eric made me. He said its only 1 of 2 made. But after installing it found out the UPS must of dropped it in shipping cause after running it the internal fan is rubbing the inside of the case and throwing shaveings all over the place. After calling Eric he said that it must of somehow shifted when it was dropped buy he said that he will get it fixed up and get it back to me asap. So it was shipped back to Eric this morning.

I have a batt bank, 2 hc2400's and a hc1800 Bought a 200 amp power bastard alt that is a direct fit for my 02 taurus It spiked to 16+ volts when i hit the gas lights got real bright then the voltage regulator kicked in and it settled back to 14.5 v. Sent ot back they put in a new regulator same problem. Bought a HO rebuild kit for my stock alt, same problem. Went to a local mechanic and he said there is no way to solve the slow regulator issue I'll buy a mechman if they can solve this issue. I also need a direct fit due to space restraints Why is my HO alt having these issues.

Hi there.. I just wanted to know will i have to change my alternator belt? Because i heard the pulley on the high output alternator is smaller so it moves fast nd since then you need a smaller belt then your orignal one? Thanks

Why do my lights flicker with a 300amp mechman in a 2009 Jeep liberty? Charging voltage driving down the road is 14.4 plus and it never goes below 13.4 with the stereo cracked up all the way. I am only drawing around 2000 watts.

so im here at work and i see the UPS truck come by(in my head im like man i wish that was mt HO aLT) so the UPS guy comes in and i see this big box im like well what is that. at this point im going towards the box as my co-worker signs the machine they scan the boxes. i ask her whos is that for shes like YOU!! im like quit playing! and sure enough it was for me ANd my HO ALT!! so exicted i want to go home and install it already!!

2500 dodge ram with factory alt. i have been having major voltage drop issues with my Fi SP4 that i installed so i think its time to upgrade. i run 2 group 31 batteries 975CCA each, how many of these could i run off a single alt? how large of an alternator could i run in my truck and what will it cost? would i need to run more than one for my power demands? about 380A of sound system, a 5KW power inverter and a 450A winch.

My mechman 260 is getting blazingly hot, is this normal? Thinking its a ground issue, I have it attached to a battery which is attached to the motor. Any ideas?

I've been having issues with the PCM messing with my voltage, so I spoke with Josh Over at mechman and he told me to see what happens when I disconnect it.. this is what happens.. this is something he has NEVER seen. As I say in the video it is not a self exciting alternator. It is a brand new 320a alt.

Got on the phone with Dennis, I asked if they had an alternator for my 2.0l Mazda 3 2007. Told me I was in luck. I asked a few questions then I made the payment. very happy with the ease of ordering the product. The very next day, unfortunatly my car was totaled. Claimed totally unfixable.
