I'm at NMMI for school this year, and I'm going through withdrawal from not hearing any subs, or anything remotely musical for the matter. Just wondering if there are any SSA members out here, I would like to meet someone. Im originally from VA, so I'm a long way from home. I only get out on the weekends for limited times.

  2. I just don't enjoy visiting every board to see if there is a thread that is in my interests... All of the forums have this "View messages from last visit" or else, and its is very easy to see new threads that have been posted or new comments on old ones. If I want to see the topics I have written in, I have to use Search which is kind a slow and annoying... PS: I don't mean to offend you ( the forum and staff) on any point. I really like it and just want to make it more comfortable. Thank you.

So I got the wild idea to see exactly how much I spend on gas and food during the week. After 3 weeks this is what I have found. My job is 28 miles each way 5 days a week gas is ~$2.86 a gallon truck gets ~13mpg average around town. So... 28*2=56 miles a day 56*5=280 miles a week 280/13=21.53gallons of gas 21.53*2.86=$61.60 a week in savings 61.60*52=$3203.20 savings per year Now I will be driving every other week in the car pool so I will actually be saving $123.20 a month. Total savings. $1601.60 Lunch... I spend ~$20 a day on breakfast and lunch. Sometimes just lunch. I will be bringing my lunch 4 days out of the week. After shoping for lunches for 3 weeks now my aver…

  6. This movie was absolutely hillarious. I love all of the satire about the liberal media. The Film Actors Guild (F.A.G.) and Sean Penn's description of iraq before we were there, was just hillarious. I would suggest that everybody see this: for one it is hillarious, and many of the things are just crazy (puppet sex scene); and it puts this crap that the media spews out every day into a whole different perspective. It excells as a comedy, and as a satire. Even if I wasn't as informed about politics as I am now, I still would have found it hillarious, but that extra knowledge just made it so much better. Definately a must see, cough up the $7.50 (or the buck o' five[see th…

A man is at work one day when he notices that his male co-worker is wearing an earring. This man knows his co-worker to be a normally conservative fellow, and is curious about his sudden change in fashion sense. "Yo, Bob, I didn't know you were into earrings." "Oh, yeah, sure," says Bob sheepishly. "Really? How long have you been wearing one?" "Ever since my wife found it in our bed." oops.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Does anyone know anything about working on small engines like this one? I recently got 2 shindaiwas- t260 and e260 (trimmer and edger) and got the edger started with a simple tune-up. I did the same for the trimmer(t260) and had to replace the primer ball for the gas because the old one broke and I wasn't able to prime it. There was no old gas left, but I think that's because it was left sitting for 2-3 years and it evaporated. New gas, spark plug and air filter, but it just wont start, and as I pull the cord an occasional sputter of gas/oil mix comes out. Anyone have any ideas? I figured I'd ask before I yanked out the carb. Hate to have to do a complete fuel system rebu…

A local priest and a pastor were fishing on the side of the road. They thoughtfully made a sign saying, "The End is Near! Turn yourself around now before it's too late!" and showed it to each passing car. One driver who drove by didn't appreciate the sign and shouted at them, "Leave us alone, you religious nuts!" All of a sudden they heard a big splash, looked at each other, and the priest said to the pastor, "You think maybe we should have just said 'Bridge Out' instead?"

A woman pregnant with triplets is walking down the street when a masked robber runs out the bank and shoots her three times in the stomach. Luckily the babies are okay. The surgeon decides to leave the bullets in because it's too risky to operate. All is fine for 16 years, and then one daughter walks into the room in tears. "What's wrong?" asks the mother. "I was having a pee and this bullet came out" replies the daughter. The mother tells her it's okay and explains what happened 16 years ago. About a week later the second daughter walks in to the room in tears. "Mom, I was having a pee and this bullet came out". Again the mother tells her not to worry and explains wha…

Well, when my city lost power from Ike's winds, our generator somehow malfunctioned and damaged a lot of my equipment that was on surge protectors... We are in the process of getting hard-wired protection, regulators and new protectors so that should take care of all that. Anyway, it damaged a PSU, my razor, 1 surge protector, my 51" rear projection tv and some plugs. Well, after a week of researching and researching, i'm slowly getting things back out of my pocket and in about 25 minutes, hopefully i'll post on here a deal of a lifetime but if i dont win this item i'm bidding on, then i don't care. I had planned on upgrading one of my pcs before this happened... I'm stil…

A woman went into a pet shop to buy her husband a pet. After looking around she realized that all the pets there were very expensive. She went to the counter and questioned the clerk. "I wanted to buy my husband a pet, but all of yours are so expensive",she said. "Well,"said the clerk, "I have a huge bullfrog in the back for $50.00. Would you like to see it?" "$50.00?? For a Frog??" asked the woman. The clerk said, "It's a special frog. It gives blow jobs." Well, the woman did not particularly enjoy giving head, so, she thought his was a heck of a deal. She'd get her husband a gift he'd surely enjoy, and she'd never have to do that again. The woman decided to buy the frog…

I was trying to go under the "my content" tab under my screenname to pull up an old thread when a nice fellow helped me design my box so that I could grab the max dimensions I had listed for my vehicle. However, when I got to "my content" i noticed the cut-off date for things to show up was anything after February 10th or 12th of 2010. I realize that that's probably a pretty reasonable time... but is there anyway for me to be able to find my old thread? using the search functioned, i searched anything that was posted by user "frostedflakejake" (me) and it came up with 8 pages of results but page 6, 7, and 8 were blank. Im assuming that the servers know I have old threads …
