So I get this squealing tire ticket after making a left turn out of an intersection... I was waiting for the other lane to clear i was in the middle of the intersection and the light was red, so i punched it to get outta there, and I get pulled over and ticketed. I think, go to court I cant lose because of the situation it was. Judge tells me squealing tires is only permittable in an emergency and that was not an emergency. End of story im out 200 bucks thats the Stinger sp1700 I wanna get! ...Life sucks oh well

  3. Someone on this forum keeps -1 every single freaking post big jon makes apparently and it's getting to the point now where it's irritating me now. Every time i See Jon post, i think, yea, that's cool, that makes sense, etc.. and BAM, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1. For those who are trying to understand the system, seeing things like that will put him in a spot to never be trusted and that's not fair nor true whatsoever. I do not know what optional capabilities the Invision script has on this site, but i will lay out a list of suggestions in hopes something is possible here. If a user feels a post requires a -1, user MUST physically explain why in a comment section below t…

Ok so it's time to retire stratusfaction. This vehicle will be used for my HUGE daily commute to school of 30miles round trip, lol. Now here's what i've narrowed it to so far. New Scion Tc Used 2008 Altima Coupe Used Mazda 6 Used VW GLI and the biggie... Used Chrysler Crossfire Ok so here's the breakdown of my pro's and cons for each TC- rather plain vehicle and i'm not super fond of the styling, apparently it's also going to get redesigned for 2010 and get the better 2.5L engine. It's also very common and i'd rather have a vehicle that i don't pass 10 of on the way to school. Gets good gas mileage, but not great. Can't really beat the price for a new vehicle, and t…

that everyone on this forum is more grown up and takes things alot more seriously than at caraudio.com Most of the mods at caraudio.com are so childish and take advantage of their mod position. I hope it isn't like this here. For example: A mod on caraudio.com posted a topic and I opened it and read it. It was supposed to be funny but it wasn't so I wrote not funny. He then wrote you are just jealous of my awesomeness. I wrote back and said oh yes I am so jealous. He wrote back and said you want a vacation? I never replied anything else. 30 mins or so I signed back on and he banned me for a week! Alot of the mods there will also delete peoples topics and replys for no r…

  11. Well, I'm thinking about taking a new job as a sales agent for a fairly large insurance company. Pay would be completely commission based...something I've never done before in my life. I sort of like the idea...my income is only limited by my own potential. But, likewise, is open to volatility and not a necessarily "steady" paycheck, and pay will certainly be low/slow to start with. Though, the pay will also include uncapped quarterly bonus's for certain sales levels/etc. So, just curious....what's ya'll opinion on something like this? Experience? Know someone working a commission based career? I'd love to hear your thoughts/opinions/experiences.

So my wife started working at best buy a few weeks ago and i go in today and start talking with the guy in the car audio section and apparently "the loudest sub in the world is a kicker solo x because it has the highest sensitivity of any sub, 92db." and the worlds loudest vehicle is in houston tx pushing an astounding 320 db with 3 kicker solo x's. going on to say that reaching 200db is fairly easy and that his vehicle with 2 kicker L7s is at almost 100db. i couldnt tell whether i was crying or laughing on the inside. The image some people think of that you watch some youtube videos, go to an electronics store and get subs, an amp, and a box you like put them in your ca…

I am sure this is all over the internet by now, but, let's see what people know here A plane is standing on a runway that can move (some sort of band conveyer). The plane moves in one direction, while the conveyer moves in the opposite direction. This conveyer has a control system that tracks the plane speed and tunes the speed of the conveyer to be exactly the same (but in opposite direction). The question is: Will the plane take off or not? Will it be able to run up and take off? I know the answer, do you?

i got woke up this morning to the worst news a father could get. my son was born may 2006, he was almost 3 months premature and the first 6mths of his life were spent in the hospital. after multiple surgeries to stop his brain from bleeding from being so premature he finally go to come home. and he had real bad seizures on a daily basis his whole life. me and his mother lasted about a year after that and we split up, for a year after that i was only able to see my son while his mother was at work and his grandmother would let me see him without her knowing. since the ex moved out of her moms i havent got to see him except in pictures and her friends letting me know how he…

It is getting so bad it is almost comical... We are selling one of our older SLR cameras on a site similar to Craigslist over here in Germany... So I get the response "I would love to buy the camera, only problem is I am on buisness in Russia and my wife lives in Africa, If I will pay you more than $200 than you are asking can you ship it to her? I will pay you immediately upon reciept"... blah blah blah.... It is almost scary that anyone actually falls for these... So I decided what I am going to do... My 2 year old daughter just filled a diaper with the nastiest crap I think she has ever taken. I am going seal it in a plastic bag, box it up and mail it to the guy....

I didn't see this done here before, if it was forgive me. The Xcon in the door thread got me all nostalgic. What was your first system and what was it in? My first system was in an 88 Sunbird convertible, 1 Cerwin Vega XL-12 powered by an Earthquake 250x ( think that's what it was called at least) later I added some Blaupunkt 6x9's powered by an Alpine 3522. I upgraded to a pair of punch XLC's shortly thereafter and eventually some Audiobahn Alum 10's before I junked the car because a large portion of the top tore off and it had no heat in January in Minnesota. I remember driving around for hours at a time going no where at all and in a huge hurry to get there. I miss 95 …

  19. Okay, so I'm going to be getting a couple of visor screens and rear screens for the car, and I am trying to decide on which gaming console to install... I first thought that something like the Wii would be fun, but I can see a window getting cracked or something already. So now I'm debating either between a good old PS2 (can be had on eBay for about $20-$50) which would be the cheaper solution... plus the controllers are smaller and easier to store; or an Xbox 360 (Anywhere from $150 up with controllers) which would be a slightly more expensive route but it is a newer system after all... I have a PS3 in the house but installing it in the car is out of the question lol. I…

I was curious to see how many people that want performance exhaust want to combine it with their system? Personally i wouldn't give up the good sounding exhaust. Straight pipe exhaust does throw in a lot of extra noise but i just wouldn't be able to not have it. What do you guys think about your exhaust noise combined with your "SQ setup"? How many do it and who's given the exhaust up? I know a lot of people here have gone over and beyond measures in order to keep your cab quiet and seperate from outside noise.

If you have never heard of this before then listen up. Im probably a little late on this but oh well. Salvia is an herb that is sold at local head shops around the nation. it is black in color and looks like tobacco with a wet kind of feel. I believe it comes from Mexico in different strengths ranging from 5x-100x. It can be ingested, smoked, and who knows what else. It is known to produce a trance like state of mind kind of like the Indians used to do back in the day. Way back. It is completely legal in all states but luckily on the DEA watch list. I was duped into trying this on my trip to Arkansas about a week or so ago. This guy told me it was like acid but not nearl…

  25. Popping in and saying howdy y'all Long story short: I was involved in a car accident around 7PM CST Thursday February 19th. Not my fault, nor is there any dispute on who was at fault by anyone involved or by workers at the scene (EMS, Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Highway Patrol, Memorial Hermann Life Flight, et al). I had my seat belt on. Silver did not make it Due largely to legal reasons, what little juicy details I can give are: I had a clean fracture of both the tibia and fibula on the right leg. The toenail on my right big toe is now gone. Moderate amount of bruising all over my right foot and ankle, bruised the bottom of the left foot and another bruise on my …
