hey bud. this will be kind of hard to explain, but i made the box that you designed for a magnum15 and im having a bit of trouble. the front piece (im assuming is meant to be 31.75 by 16...fine thats dandy). BUT it seems to me that in the drawing where the front piece meets the port, the two should be flush. well they would be if the front piece was 30.75, not 31.75 (if my math is correct) maybe im wrong so instead of having a 2.5 inch opening ive got a 1.5. maybe you can advise me on this one. i wont cut it an inch shorter until you tell me to. i dont know if its supposed to petrude into the opening or what. so any help ? thanks guy(s)

not according to JL...they're saying the 12w3v3 can use in a 1.75cf box ported And there is no way you can make a 1.75cf box NET and a port in a 2 cuft space. No way, no how. unless you think outside the box *sorry, how many chances do you get for that kind of a pun? edit: you said in a box

We aren't offended in the slightest, just want you to know where the expense comes in building these units. It's not as cheap as you think. Not every alternator with a sense lead works the same, while this may work for your 6G try making this work on a 4G. It has a sense lead but is entirely different in the function. We just want to share some information to keep people from wasting their time and money on something that may or may not work for their application. Did you know that the sense lead isn't always a sense lead? Or that in the same style of alternator it can sense from a different pin? Years of knowledge tell us which one to use, and if we don't know we have th…

You'd probably want to go with about 1cf per driver tuned around 35hz. I'll figure the box up as common chamber. The port is a 2x12 slot, 16 inches long. This occupies about 0.25cf counting the MDF used for one of the port walls (we'll have the port against one side of the box, and between the top and bottom, so only one port wall has to be constructed). So, we're going to want a total of about 2.5cf before woofer and port displacement. Our external dimensions will be 13.5H x 33W x 19.5D. So internally, the dimensions for the woofer are 12H x 28W x 18D. This is because the port and port wall take up 3.5" on one side. On the other side we have the other wall of the box. W…

Heard alot of different opinions on RE's box calculator heard it was off and not accurate but than heard that no matter what you do the tune will never be ACCURATE, which to believe i really have no clue. I am currently in the process of building a new box for my single 12" Cadence ZRS and looking for a new amp that does 900-1300rms at 2ohm, class D monoblock, kinda stiff and cheap on the price of 220 or less depends what it is and i might be able to do more. But back to the box , i have one planned out with RE's box calculator its 2.5cf prob will be less after displacement since im not sure how much to account for, for 45 degree angles and so forth, but id like a nice b…

With that being said, how many studios have you seen in a car and with a car's unique acoustical limitations and changes. I realize it's unrealistic to have it sound exactly like being in a studio would. That was more or less a figure of speech, meaning I want to achieve the best SQ as I humanly can and have it sound as close as possible, to what the artist Intended it to sound; with having to mortgage my house. Maybe my kids college fund would be ok but not a the house. Now that I think about it the cost of college is the is about same as or more than the average Americans house. I'm sure that you get my point, though!!!!.
