It could have been a bad alternator as well. This is why I am asking these questions. I had installed years ago a new Ford OEM alternator and it quit within a month. So it would not surprise me one bit. It happens. No problem. I just want to identify the problem. Being on a small Island doesn't help in terms of knowledge... Thanks. JR

alright, i disconnected the speaker wires at the terminals on the box and did each sub individually. they both read 3.5. is this normal?
